Dog Boarding & Travel
-
Holiday boarding waitlists can fill up quickly - often several weeks in advance for popular times like Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break and summer holiday weekends. We recommend reserving your pup’s stay as soon as you know your travel plans to secure their Cabin and avoid the waitlist. If we do start a waitlist, we’ll keep you updated right away if a spot opens for your Camper.
-
Last-minute holiday boarding may be possible if we have availability, but spots are limited and fill fast during peak seasons. If you’re already a client and your pup has passed their Camper interview, we’ll check our schedule and do our best to fit them in. If you’re new to Camp, your dog will need to complete and pass the free Camper interview before boarding, so it’s important to reach out as early as you can. It’s always best to call your local Camp directly so we can review availability, schedule required interviews, and explore options like different dates or services. Even when it’s busy, we’ll do everything we can to help you and your pup enjoy a worry-free holiday.
-
Many Camps welcome puppies for boarding as long as they are at least four months old and meet our vaccination and health requirements. Puppies must be spayed or neutered (if seven months or older). We may recommend a few daycare visits before spring break so your pup can get comfortable with our play yards, routines, and Camp Counselors®. Contact your local Camp for specific puppy guidelines so we can help your young Camper have a safe, happy first “spring break” with us.
-
For the safety of all our Campers, dogs must be up to date on core vaccinations, which typically include Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella (kennel cough). Some locations may have additional requirements, such as canine influenza, so it’s important to check with your local Camp for their exact list and timelines. We’ll review your pup’s records before their stay to ensure a safe, healthy holiday for every dog in our care.
-
Your pup is welcome to stay for just a night or for an extended holiday vacation, depending on your needs and our availability. Many families book several days to a week or more during major holidays, and our team will keep your Camper’s routine as consistent, comforting, and fun as possible. Many of our locations offer discounts for stays of 10 nights or more, and work with you on extended boarding options to make things as smooth as possible. If you’re planning a longer stay, we’ll work with you to tailor feeding, medication, and enrichment to your dog’s needs.
-
Yes, all of our Camps offer live webcams in the play yards so you can peek in on your pup during open-play hours—even over the holidays. You’ll be able to watch your Camper romp, socialize, and enjoy their day right from your phone or computer. Just log in to your local Camp for webcam access to enjoy extra peace of mind while you’re away.
-
Some Camps may have holiday or peak-period rates or fees due to higher demand and extended hours of care. We’re always transparent about pricing and will review any holiday rates with you when you book your pup’s stay. For the most accurate information, contact your local Camp Bow Wow so you know exactly what to expect before you reserve.

Many Camps are open to care for boarding pups on Christmas Day, though lobby hours for drop-off and pick-up may be limited or closed to the public. Our Certified Camp Counselors® are still on-site making sure every Camper gets love, care, and holiday cheer. Please check your local Camp’s holiday hours in advance so you can plan drop-off and pick-up around their Christmas schedule.
