Quick and Easy Peanut Butter Treats

To celebrate National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day, here’s a recipe that quick, easy and pup approved!


  • 2/3 cup pumpkin puree (avoid any fillers such as "pumpkin pie filling", which contain a lot of sugar)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 – 3 cups whole wheat flour


  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • ​​​​​​​Baking sheet
  • Medium size bowl
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Rolling pin
  • Flour for counter top
  • Cookie cutters (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat then set aside
  3. In your medium sized bowl, use your electric mixer or whisk to combine beat pumpkin puree, peanut butter and eggs until well combined (about 1-2 minutes or 30 whisks)
  4. Gradually add 2 1/2 cups flour at low speed until incorporated
  5. Add an additional 1/4 cup flour at a time just until the dough is no longer sticky
  6. Lightly flour your working surface, knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together
  7. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness
  8. Use cookie cutters or cut out desired shapes and place onto the prepared baking sheet
  9. Place into oven and bake until the edges are golden brown, about 20-25 minutes
  10. Let cool completely
  11. Treat your pup!
