It’s our goal to ensure your confidence in everything we do.

What type of services does Camp Bow Wow In-Home Pet Care include?

We provide a variety of services for pets while you’re out of town, at work, or just running errands.

Just a few of our In-Home Pet Care services include:

  • Dog walking
  • Pet sitting
  • Care for pets with special needs (older animals, pets who just had surgery, etc.)
  • Poop scooping

Available services may vary by location, contact your local Camp for a full list of in-home services.

What makes you different than other dog walking and pet care services?

Camp Bow Wow has led the pet care industry for nearly 22 years. We have the knowledge, experience, and training to provide your pet with the specialized care they deserve. Pet parents trust our brand and appreciate that we take the time to understand their pets’ individual needs through our free initial consultation we provide in the comfort of their homes.

Each of our Certified Caregivers undergoes a background check and an extensive training program before caring for our clients. All Caregivers are certified in CPR and pet first aid to ensure the highest levels of safety for your pet and your home.

Where do you walk the dogs?

Your dog’s Certified Caregiver is happy to walk your pup where you would normally walk them. We can walk dogs to next-door neighborhoods or stick to your immediate area, depending on your preference. Camp Bow Wow likes to keep your dog’s routine as close as possible to what you do so they always know what to expect on a walk. Please note that we cannot transport your dog.

Do you do background checks on your employees?

Yes. In addition to having to undergo an extensive background check, every one of our Caregivers must become certified before being able to care for our clients. You can trust that we only hire individuals we would trust to take care of our own furry family members. There’s never a need to question whether your pup is in the right hands.

What happens if my dog’s Certified Caregiver gets sick or is unable to come?

While we do our best to ensure your pet is always greeted by the same Certified Caregiver, there are times when sickness or emergencies are unavoidable. If your usual Certified Caregiver is unable to make it to your appointment, our team will send an alternate to take their place. We will be sure to let you know if this happens prior to your appointment so you are completely aware of the situation. You can count on us to ensure your pet is always cared for.

Are you insured and bonded?

Camp Bow Wow In-Home franchises are completely insured and fully bonded for additional peace of mind.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies by location so reach out to your local Camp Bow Wow to learn more. This is also a great question to ask during your free, initial in-home consultation.

Does someone stay at my house overnight?

If you would rather have someone stay overnight with your pets, one of our Certified Caregivers can stay with your dog and provide the ultimate pet care experience in the comfort of their own home. Please check with your local Camp Bow Wow for availability.

If my dog has health issues, will you still come?

Absolutely. One of the many benefits of our in-home pet care services is that we are trained and certified to care for pets with special needs as well as elderly pets. We will make sure to obtain all of the details of your pet’s needs so we can duplicate their care while you’re away.

What do you do in case of illness or injury?

Your pup’s immediate needs come first. All of our Caregivers are certified in pet CPR and first, so we can care for your pet if the wound is superficial. If the matter is more serious, we can take them to your personal vet for you (or an emergency vet if your vet is unavailable). We will call you at the emergency number you provide us with or reach out to your closest emergency contact.

What vaccinations are required?

Your pet will need to be up-to-date on all state-required vaccinations before we can take care of them. We recommend you vaccinate your furry family member for Distemper, Bordetella, and Rabies, especially if you want us to walk them. Be sure to check with your local Camp for more information about vaccination requirements and recommendations.

Do you service all types of pets?

We can care for most types of pets! Camp Bow Wow services fish, birds, reptiles, cats, and other small mammals in addition to dogs. Contact your local Camp to determine if we are able to care for your pet.

Can you provide my pet with his/her medication?

We are happy to administer most types of medications. This is a topic we will discuss in detail with you during your free in-home consultation.
