The CampLife Philosophy
Everything we do at Camp Bow Wow Fort Mill starts with one belief: your dog’s happiness and safety come first. We treat every Camper as if they were our own, helping them feel secure, loved, and at home from day one. It’s not a job for our team. It’s a genuine passion for dogs, and it shows in everything from how we greet your pup at the door to how we wind down their day.
Getting to Know Your Dog Before the Fun Begins
Before your pup joins the group, they go through a Camper Interview. This isn’t a formality: it’s how we get to know your dog’s personality, play style, and comfort level around other dogs. We introduce them gradually to their new environment and match them to the right play group so they feel confident from the start. This careful temperament assessment supports a safe open-play environment for every dog in it. After the interview, you’ll receive a detailed report on how your pup adjusted and what our Camp Counselors observed along the way.
Supervised Play & Individualized Care
Our Certified Camp Counselors® supervise every interaction throughout the day. Play groups are organized by size, temperament, and energy level so dogs can socialize in a way that feels natural and fun. Our Counselors are trained in pet CPR and first aid, and we maintain a balanced staff-to-dog ratio so no pup goes unnoticed.
When play gets too rough or a dog needs a break, our Counselors use gentle behavior redirection to keep interactions positive. Scheduled rest periods are built into the day to help prevent overstimulation, and as your dog grows and their preferences evolve, we adjust their group placement accordingly. Whether your pup loves a high-energy game of chase or prefers quieter snuggles on the side, we work to keep them in the right setting.
A Facility Built for Dogs
Our indoor and outdoor play yards are cleaned and sanitized daily using pet-safe products, so every dog enters a space that’s hygienic and secure. Indoor areas are climate-controlled. That’s a real advantage during Charlotte’s hot, humid summers when outdoor-only facilities become uncomfortable for dogs. At every check-in, our Counselors conduct a snout-to-tail assessment to catch any potential health concerns before your pup enters the group. At the end of the day, they can rest and recharge in one of our cozy Cabins before heading home.
All-Inclusive Dog Day Care Pricing
At Camp Bow Wow Fort Mill, you shouldn’t have to decode a fee schedule to know what your dog’s day costs. Our all-inclusive pricing means everything is clear upfront: no surprise add-ons, no hidden charges for standard day care services.
Flexible daycare packages are available to fit a range of schedules, whether your dog visits a few times a month or comes to Camp every weekday. New Campers can also take advantage of a free first day of dog day care, making it easy to try CampLife before committing to a package. The Camper Interview is the first step, giving us a chance to get to know your pup and match them to the right play group from day one.

Dog Daycare Requirements at Camp Bow Wow
Our Camper requirements exist for one reason: to keep every dog in our play groups safe and healthy. Before joining the open-play environment, all dogs must complete a Camper Interview so our Certified Camp Counselors can assess their personality, energy level, and comfort around other dogs. This temperament screening supports first-time daycare dogs and longtime Campers alike.
To participate in dog day care at Camp Bow Wow Fort Mill, all dogs must meet the following requirements:
- Pass the Camper Interview prior to joining the play group
- Be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age
- Be current on Bordetella, DHPP, and rabies vaccinations
- Be free of contagious health conditions at the time of each visit
Spay and neuter requirements help reduce hormone-driven tension in group settings. Vaccination requirements, including Bordetella, which guards against common causes of kennel cough, reduce the risk of illness spreading through shared play areas. At every check-in, our Counselors also conduct a snout-to-tail assessment to catch any health concerns before your pup enters the group. And because our Certified Camp Counselors are trained in pet CPR and first aid, you can feel confident your dog is in capable hands all day long.
