    Skills and Experience

Background: "I grew up with and always have had dogs my entire life, being involved mainly with German Shepherd Dogs , Obedience, Schutzhund, and Handsignal training. I was the owner, operator of SpiritHaven Horse Farm in Wolf Pond, South Carolina, for 26 years where I trained horses and competed in competitive trail with my own Foundation Quarter Horse, Hammer. I am originally from New Jersey, but now live in Newport, South Carolina with my one rescue dog, Cookie, whom I adopted on the day of her euthanasia , and one parrot, Ladybird . I have not lived a single day of my life without a dog in it. What I love most about Camp Bow Wow is the high emphasis put on safety for the dogs and staff and always putting the dogs best interests first!"

    Skills and Experience

Meet Kim Spyridon, the Certified Dog Trainer at Fort Mill. When she was little her family dubbed her the Horse Whisperer because at 5 years old she stopped and calmed a bucking trail horse that had thrown its rider. An animal lover all her life, she has had a wide variety of pets. Kim has been with Camp Bow Wow Fort Mill since it opened in April 2016. She and her husband live in Tega Cay with their terriers Duncan and Finn MacCool.

"When I decided to work with dogs I wanted to find a better way than some of the methods I knew about. Then I discovered Camp Bow Wow in Fort Mill and when I was introduced to the training method that Camp Bow Wow promotes, I was hooked. We use a scientifically proven method that’s force free and rewards based. It's easy to teach and understand, builds confidence in the dog, and the pet parent. It takes into consideration where the dog is mentally and emotionally. While it is geared to go at a pace that the dog can handle, you can still see measurable improvement in the dog with each session and practice. I am pleased to be able to offer training that is humane, kind, and gets results. We offer a variety of training options to help fit your lifestyle and budget. "
