Dog Boarding in Hillsboro
Open-Play Boarding Where Dogs Actually Have Fun
Leaving your dog while you travel or work late is stressful when you don’t know what their day looks like. At Camp Bow Wow® Hillsboro, we built our dog boarding around one idea: your pup should actually enjoy being here. That means all-day play with friends, attentive care from people who love dogs, and cozy cabins for a restful night.
Hillsboro families deal with busy schedules, work trips, and long commutes. Our team focuses on each dog’s emotional and physical well-being so you can focus on where you need to be. Our certified Camp Counselors monitor pups throughout the day, our Camper screening process keeps group play safe, and our webcams let you check in anytime. From the first tail wag at drop-off to the sleepy ride home, we work to make your dog’s stay feel like Camp, not a cage.

Why Our Dog Hotel Stands Out
When you search for dog boarding in Hillsboro, you’re not just comparing prices. You’re trying to find a place where your dog can be treated like family. As a dog boarding company focused on the whole experience, we do things differently from the moment your pup arrives.
Open Play Instead of Runs
Our open-play environment sets us apart from traditional dog hotels. Rather than spending the day in a run, dogs enjoy supervised play in spacious indoor and outdoor yards. They run, romp, and socialize with compatible friends while our Camp Counselors stay close by, guiding play and watching every interaction. This keeps pups mentally engaged, helps burn off energy, and means they can head back to their cabins genuinely relaxed. That’s the dog hotel Hillsboro families have come to expect from us.
Safety Built Into Every Step
Every new Camper goes through a thorough screening process that includes a behavior assessment and confirmation of required vaccinations. We use what we learn to group dogs by size, temperament, and play style, creating play yards that feel fun and comfortable rather than chaotic, especially for younger or more sensitive dogs.
Our all-inclusive pricing keeps things simple: no surprise add-ons for playtime, ever. Webcams in our play areas let you check in from anywhere, whether you’re down the road or across the country. Many families tell us that seeing their dog playing and relaxing can make travel feel much easier.
One-Stop Care for Local Families
Because we offer daycare, training, and grooming alongside dog boarding, local families can count on us as a one-stop destination. You can schedule a bath or nail trim during a stay, or build in a few daycare visits before a longer boarding reservation so your dog already knows Camp and feels right at home when the big trip arrives.
What Your Dog’s Stay Looks Like
It’s easier to relax when you know what’s actually happening. From the moment you arrive, our team makes drop-off smooth for both of you. We confirm feeding instructions and medications, then help your dog settle in and join their play group.
Daytime Play & Meals
During the day, dogs in our doggie boarding program enjoy open play in our indoor and outdoor yards. They explore, chase toys, and nap between bursts of activity. Camp Counselors stay in the yards, watching body language, encouraging good manners, and offering plenty of affection. For many pups, Camp quickly becomes somewhere they look forward to going.
Mealtimes follow the routine you share with us. We ask that you bring your dog’s regular food to keep their stomach settled. Our team follows your instructions on portions and timing, and we can separate dogs for meals so everyone eats calmly. Fresh water is always available in the play yards and cabins.
Evening Wind-Down & Overnight Cabins
As evening approaches, we wind down the energy in the yards. After a full day of play, most dogs are ready to rest. We escort Campers to their own cozy cabins, where they settle in for a calm, comfortable night. You’re welcome to bring a favorite blanket or toy from home, which can make that first night feel familiar.
Overnight, dogs stay in their individual cabins on a consistent routine that includes final potty breaks and a settled bedtime. Many pet parents add a grooming appointment or extra daycare at pickup, so pups can go home tired, happy, and, if you like, freshly cleaned.
Safety & Comfort Come First
When you think about overnight dog boarding in Hillsboro, safety is the first question. Our Camper Interview and evaluation help us understand how your dog interacts with others and what environment helps them thrive. We confirm vaccinations to support a healthy play space and introduce new dogs at a pace that keeps everyone comfortable.
Thoughtful Dog Grouping
For every overnight dog boarding stay, we group dogs by size, temperament, age, and play style. A high-energy young dog might thrive in a more active yard; a senior pup might prefer a calmer group. Our Camp Counselors stay present in each yard, redirecting rough play, offering breaks, and helping shy dogs build confidence over time.
Cabin Comfort & Facility Care
Our cabins give each dog a quiet, private place to unwind. Familiar items from home are welcome as long as they’re safe for your pup. We follow regular cleaning protocols throughout the facility, including the play yards and cabins, and our team watches for signs that any dog needs a rest, a slower introduction, or a little extra attention.
Boarding Made Easy for Hillsboro Families
Many of our pet parents work in nearby business districts, travel out of Portland International Airport, or take weekend trips to the Oregon coast. We want overnight dog boarding to fit that lifestyle without adding friction. Our drop-off and pickup routines are designed to be as simple as possible.
Getting started is straightforward. The first step is scheduling a Camper Interview so we can meet your dog, review vaccination records, and walk you through how boarding works. As a dog boarding company serving Washington County families every day, we’re used to working around busy travel schedules and can help you find dates that fit.
Once your dog is approved, book the dates that match your plans and reserve early for holidays and peak travel times. Before the stay, you’ll gather your dog’s food, any comfort items, and written instructions. On drop-off day, our team helps your dog transition into their play group so you can head out without lingering worry.
For your first stay, it helps to:
- Bring enough of your dog’s regular food for the visit, plus a little extra.
- Pack any approved medications with clear, written directions.
- Include a favorite blanket or toy if you think it will help your pup settle in.
- Plan a few minutes at drop-off to confirm details with our team.
Throughout your trip, log in to our webcams to see your dog enjoying Camp. When you return to Hillsboro, you’ll pick up a pup who has spent their days playing, socializing, and resting comfortably. Our team is here to help you choose dates and answer any questions whenever you’re ready to plan the next stay.

Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
