Dog Boarding in Hillsboro

Overnight Care That Puts Your Pup First

Leaving your dog while you travel or work late can feel stressful. You want your pup to be safe, happy, and surrounded by people who truly care. At Camp Bow Wow® Hillsboro, our dog boarding is designed to feel like a home-away-from-home, with all-day play, plenty of attention, and cozy cabins for restful nights.

Here in Hillsboro, OR, many families juggle busy schedules, trips, and long commutes. We understand how important it is to know your dog is in good hands during those times. Our team focuses on each dog’s emotional and physical well-being so you can focus on your plans without worrying.

Our certified Camp Counselors monitor pups throughout the day, our Camper screening process helps keep group play safe, and our webcams let you peek in on the fun whenever you like. From the first tail wag at drop-off to the sleepy ride home, we work to give your dog a boarding stay that feels like Camp, not a basic hotel.

Why Our Dog Hotel Stands Out

When you look for dog boarding Hillsboro has to offer, you are not just comparing prices. You are trying to find a place where your dog will be treated like family. We have built our Camp experience around that idea, combining fun, structure, and thoughtful care in one place.

Our open-play environment sets us apart from traditional hotels. Rather than staying in a run all day, dogs enjoy supervised play in spacious indoor and outdoor yards. They can run, romp, and socialize with compatible friends while our Camp Counselors stay close by, guiding play and watching every interaction. This approach helps pups burn off energy, stay mentally engaged, and go back to their cabins relaxed.

Safety is built into everything we do at our dog hotel in Hillsboro. Every new Camper goes through a thorough screening process that includes a behavior assessment and confirmation of required vaccinations. We use what we learn to group dogs by size, temperament, and play style. This helps create play yards that feel fun and comfortable instead of chaotic or overwhelming, especially for younger or more sensitive dogs.

We also work hard to give pet parents peace of mind. Our all-inclusive pricing keeps things simple, so you do not have to worry about surprise add-ons for playtime. Webcams in our play areas let you check in on your pup during the day, whether you are down the road or across the country. Many families tell us that being able to see their dog playing and relaxing makes travel feel much easier.

Because we offer daycare, training, and grooming in addition to our dog boarding service, local families can rely on us as a one-stop destination. You can plan a bath or nail trim during a stay, or schedule regular daycare visits before a longer boarding reservation, so your dog already knows Camp and feels right at home.

What Your Dog’s Stay Looks Like

It is easier to relax when you know exactly what your dog’s boarding stay will look like. From the moment you arrive at our Hillsboro, OR, camp, our team focuses on making drop-off smooth for both you and your pup. We confirm instructions, such as feeding and medications, then help your dog settle in and join their play group.

During the day, dogs in our doggie boarding program enjoy open play in our indoor and outdoor yards. They can explore, chase toys, and nap between bursts of activity. Camp Counselors stay in the yards with them, keeping an eye on body language, encouraging good manners, and offering affection and reassurance. For many pups, Camp quickly becomes a place where they look forward to seeing their friends.

Mealtimes follow the routine you share with us. We ask that you bring your dog’s regular food so their stomach stays settled during their stay. Our team follows your instructions on portions and timing as closely as possible, and we can separate dogs for meals to give them a calm space to eat. Fresh water is always available in the play yards and cabins.

As evening approaches, we gradually wind down the energy in the yards. After a full day of play, most dogs are ready to relax. We escort Campers to their own cozy cabins, where they can rest on comfortable bedding in a calm atmosphere. Dogs can rest with their favorite blanket or toy from home if you choose to bring one, which can make the first night feel familiar.

Overnight, dogs stay in their individual cabins so they can sleep soundly. Our team follows set routines for final potty breaks and bedtime to keep things consistent. Many pet parents also choose to add services like daycare before pickup or a grooming appointment during the stay. This way, pups go home tired, happy, and, if you like, freshly cleaned up.

Safety & Comfort Come First

We know that safety is the first thing on your mind when you think about overnight dog boarding in Hillsboro that families can trust. Our Camper interview and evaluation help us learn how your dog interacts with others and what kind of environment helps them thrive. We confirm vaccinations to support a healthy play space and take time to introduce new dogs at a comfortable pace.

For ongoing doggie boarding stays, we group dogs thoughtfully. Size, temperament, age, and play style all play a part in where your dog will spend their time. A high-energy young dog might enjoy a more active yard, while a senior pup might prefer a calmer group. Our Camp Counselors stay present in each yard, redirecting rough play, offering breaks, and helping shy dogs build confidence.

Comfort is just as important as safety. Our cabins provide a quiet, private space for each dog to unwind between all the excitement. You are welcome to bring familiar items from home, such as a blanket or a favorite toy, as long as they are safe for your pup. The goal is to create a restful routine, so dogs wake up ready for another fun day at Camp.

Cleanliness is part of our safety focus as well. We follow regular cleaning protocols throughout our facility, including the play yards and cabins. Our team monitors the environment and the dogs themselves, watching for signs that a pup may need a rest, a slower introduction, or a little extra attention. We strive to balance exercise, socialization, and downtime so each Camper can enjoy a comfortable, secure stay.

Boarding Made Easy For Families in Hillsboro

Life moves quickly in Hillsboro, OR. Many of our pet parents work in nearby business districts, travel out of Portland International Airport, or take weekend trips to the coast. We want overnight care to fit smoothly into that lifestyle. Our location and routine are designed to make drop-off and pickup as simple as possible for local families.

Getting started with doggie boarding in Hillsboro that families feel good about is straightforward. The first step is to schedule a Camper interview so we can meet your dog and help them get to know Camp. We will review vaccination records, walk you through how boarding works, and answer any questions about your pup’s needs or personality.

Once your dog is approved, you can book boarding dates that match your travel plans. We recommend reserving early for holidays and peak times. Before the stay, you gather your dog’s food, any allowed comfort items, and clear written instructions. On the day of drop-off, our team helps your dog transition into play so you can head to your next stop without lingering worry.

For your first stay, it can help to remember:

  • Bring enough of your dog’s regular food for the visit, plus a little extra.
  • Pack any approved medications with clear, written directions.
  • Include a favorite blanket or toy if you think it will help your pup relax.
  • Plan a few minutes at drop-off so we can confirm details together.

Throughout your trip, you can log in to our webcams to see your dog enjoying Camp. When you return to Hillsboro, you pick up a pup who has spent their days playing, socializing, and resting comfortably. If you are ready to plan your dog’s next Camp stay, our team is here to help you choose dates and walk you through anything new.

Dog Boarding FAQs

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Hillsboro is here to help!

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.

  • Yes, we offer dog boarding for all breeds! The safety and well-being of our canine guests are our top priorities. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we require all dogs to pass a Camper Interview. This process helps us determine if our play-based environment is a good fit for your pup.

While we don't discriminate based on breed, please note that some insurance policies and city ordinances may have restrictions. For specific questions about our policies, please contact your local Camp Bow Wow today.

  • To maintain our incredibly high standards and satisfaction ratings, your pup must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines.

Other vaccinations and requirements for dog boarding can vary by Camp. Contact your local Camp Bow Wow for details.

  • If you'd like to drop off your pup for overnight dog boarding stays, we suggest you bring them in before 4 pm to ensure they have plenty of time to play, eat and enjoy themselves before bedtime.

To ensure we can give your dog plenty of attention when you come to pick them up, we kindly ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before closing time.
