James Nash, owner of Camp Bow Wow Hillsboro, has over 15 years of business and retail experience. Shortly after graduating from high school in 1997, James joined the Air Force, where he was stationed in South Korea and Italy. Half-way through his tour in South Korea he returned home on leave to marry his High School sweet-heart Coral. While in Italy, James and his wife were given a budget to furnish their home, but instead, used the budget for their first dog – a yellow Labrador Retriever named Romeo.

After his military tour, James and his wife attended college at Oregon State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science with a minor in business and his wife earned a degree in Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Physics. After college, James worked as an analyst for companies ranging from Weyerhaeuser, IBM, REI, Nike, and Columbia Sportswear. James’ love for dogs inspired him to trade in his desk job and become a franchise owner with Camp Bow Wow. Attracted to a working environment where he could combine his passion for animals with his desire for a more entrepreneurial position, James has finally made his dream a reality.

With Camp Bow Wow Hillsboro, James aims to make a difference in the animal community by partnering with local shelters and adoption agencies to take in foster animals and host adoption events. Above all, James hopes that Camp Bow Wow Hillsboro will provide a safe and fun environment for pups in the community to stay and play, and hopes to open more locations in the near future.

Today, James and his wife happily reside in Beaverton with their two kids, three dogs, three chinchillas, and bearded dragon.
