Looking for loving fur-ever homes

Meet Our Current Foster Dogs Who Are Looking for Their Loving Fur-ever Homes in Hillsboro

At Camp Bow Wow Hillsboro, we believe every dog should have a loving fur-ever home. We work closely with local shelters and rescues to help with their adoption efforts, and often have foster dogs staying at Camp. These dogs get to play all day with other Campers, snooze the night away in individual Cabins, and get lots of love and attention from our Certified Camp Counselors®.

  • Lava

    Age: 1.5 Years Old

Personality: Hello there, my name is Lava. I am a young lad at 1.5 years old. My foster mom says I'm very smart, I know how to sit, lay down, shake hands, play fetch and ring the bell when I have to go out to potty. I like other dogs that can handle all my energy and play with me! I like to be kept busy, and my foster mom gave me this puzzle toy that she puts food in and I have to find it. I am good with dog savvy cats, but may not be the best with little dogs depending on the dog as I am so full of puppy energy and can play a bit too big.
I will rest in my crate, but I need to wear off some energy before I will settle down. I like to be with people and do all the things I can with you. I would probably make a good running or hiking partner! I can be a bit protective of the car and will sound the alarm with a very deep and big bark to let you know of people I'm not too sure about. I like to go for walks and do well walking on leash with a harness. I would like to find an active home that is able to be patient with me and give me lots of opportunities to learn and grow into well rounded dog. I look forward to meeting you and starting our journey together!

  • Tonto

    Age: 2 Years Old

Personality: Tonto is looking for a family of his own that will provide him the guidance he needs since he is still a puppy at heart. He likes to be the boss once he settles in, so he needs a home that provides structure, and owners who are solid leaders. He loves people and is very loving. He would love to cuddle and take a nap with you, go on a nice long walk or hike and exploring the outdoors. He could even learn to be a running buddy if you like to run.
Tonto is great with other dogs, but seems to prefer females. He is working on his sharing skills as he thinks all the toys belong to him. He wants to learn to share, but it is a work-in-progress for him. He walks well on leash, for the most part, and likes to go for walks and explore.
Tonto needs to sleep in a crate or on his own bed. Don't get me wrong, he would love to sleep in your bed but again, sharing is hard for him. He would love for you to show him that sleeping on his own bed is amazing and that it just gives him that much more space.
Tonto is very interested in cats so I would say he could possibly be with a dog savvy cat but it would need to be in a controlled environment with proper intros. If the cat runs, he will chase it. Tonto loves to ride in the car and is very relaxed when doing so. He will lie right down and even take a nap. He also loves to take a bath and will hold still while you scrub him up.
The perfect family for this boy is one who is active and experienced. Tonto is an amazing pup, full of energy and life. If you can offer this boy structure and want a great dog please apply.
