How long have you been training?

I have been training for approximately 5 years. I got my start working for a non-profit, ADI-accredited organization out of Salem. We trained dogs to be service animals.

Do you have any pets?

I've always had dogs as pets, but once I started working with them, I realized my passion for helping dogs reach their full potential. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog master a new skill, or overcome a challenge. The dogs at Camp Bow Wow are amazing! Each one has their own unique personality, and I love getting to know them.

My experience involves working with a wide variety of dogs, but my all-time favorite breed is a Golden Retriever, which is a well-known fact here at Camp. If I see a Golden, especially a puppy, I am snuggling with it!

At Camp, I look for new learning opportunities, I like to be involved, and I love watching our staff with the dogs. We have a great team here at Camp Bow Wow and I look forward to coming to work every day!

I have two dogs and a ball python. My dog’s name is Miss Vanjie, my partner’s dog is named Bitz, and the python is named Tatenda.

I once met a dog named Meatloaf and it was the perfect name for him. He was a stubby little bulldog whose heart was much bigger than his brain.

I have a soft spot for Pitbulls. They’re heavily discriminated against but they just want love like all other dogs. They also have the cutest smiles.

Blowing bubbles for the dogs at camp is so fun. Especially when there’s one leaping up to grab them from up high.
