Unwavering Commitment to Safety
We are dedicated to providing the safest environment possible for your dog. Our rigorous safety protocols and trained staff set us apart, helping ensure your pet’s well-being is always our number one priority.
Our Certified Camp Counselors® complete training in dog behavior, pet first aid, and CPR, preparing them to respond to many different situations. We require all new Campers to pass a thorough Camper Interview to ensure they are a good fit for our group play environment. Additionally, all dogs must be spayed or neutered and have up-to-date vaccinations, including the Bordetella vaccine, for the health and safety of the entire pack.
We also keep a close eye on group dynamics throughout the day, adjusting playgroups by size, energy level, and play style so that even more timid dogs feel safe. Play yards are separated by secure fencing and feature solid, well-maintained surfaces that are cleaned and disinfected regularly to help reduce the spread of germs. Our building has controlled access so only authorized pet parents and team members can enter, and we perform routine checks on gates, latches, and equipment to help maintain a secure setting.
In addition, we follow weather-aware safety practices that matter in the Rock Hill area, such as limiting outdoor time during extreme heat and providing plenty of fresh water and shaded rest spots. During storms or high temperatures, we rely more on our climate-controlled indoor play spaces so dogs stay comfortable while still getting to move and interact. By combining thoughtful facility design with hands-on supervision, we create a dependable layer of protection around every Camper, day and night.

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Fort Mill is here to help!
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
