Enrichment Built Into Every Day

Good dog day care goes beyond supervision. Dogs need physical, mental, and emotional stimulation to thrive, and our approach to group play is built around all three. Every day at Camp includes sensory stimulation during open play, structured rest breaks to help prevent overstimulation, and gentle guidance from our Certified Camp Counselors® when play gets too rough or energy tips out of balance.

That guidance matters. Our Counselors actively redirect behaviors like mounting, excessive barking, or rough play so the environment stays positive for every dog in the yard. Learn more about our dedicated dog enrichment program, available as a separate add-on service.

The Camper Interview

Before any pup joins the open-play environment at Camp Bow Wow Boulder, they complete a Camper Interview that assesses temperament, play style, and comfort level in a group setting. Our Certified Camp Counselors® use that information to place each dog in the right play group from day one, grouping dogs by size, temperament, and energy level so every Camper has a fair match.

The introduction to Camp is paced so dogs feel comfortable rather than overwhelmed. It’s a behavioral pre-screening that helps protect every Camper in the facility and supports a positive first experience. After the interview, you’ll receive a brief report on how your pup adjusted, along with notes from our Counselors. The Camper Interview is also the gateway to boarding: dogs must pass the interview and complete at least one daycare day before their first overnight stay.

Dog Daycare Reservations

The following policies apply to all dog day care visits at Camp Bow Wow Boulder. Review them before your pup’s first day so drop-off is quick and easy.

General Policies

• All dogs must have a name tag at drop-off.
• All medications must be in their original containers per state regulations and safety requirements.
• Accounts go inactive after 2 years of no visits.

Vaccination Requirements

• All dogs must meet CBW Boulder vaccination requirements, which include Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. These may differ from other Camp Bow Wow locations. Contact our front desk at (720) 605-4733 with any questions.
• Due to our unique demographic of frequently traveling dogs, CBW Boulder requires an injectable, intranasal, or oral Bordetella vaccine every 6 months for all Campers.
• All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to participate in daycare or boarding.

Package Terms

• Day care packages are nonrefundable after one month from the purchase date.
• Day care packages automatically expire one year after the purchase date.

Enrichment Services

Enrichment services are available as an add-on to any daycare or boarding reservation. The following policies apply to all enrichment bookings at Camp Bow Wow Boulder.

• All enrichment services must be scheduled during a daycare or boarding reservation.
• All dogs must meet CBW Boulder vaccination requirements and pass the Camper Interview.
