Dog Day Care in Asheville
Supervised Open Play, All-Inclusive Pricing & a Free First Day
When your schedule is packed, it can be hard to give your dog all the playtime and attention they crave. That’s where dog day care comes in. At Camp Bow Wow® South Asheville, we built Camp so pups can spend the day romping, relaxing, and getting plenty of TLC while you take care of yours.
Asheville dog parents juggle work, errands, and time outdoors, and wondering what your pup is up to at home can add real stress to an already full day. Our goal is to give you peace of mind with a safe, supervised place where dogs can play, socialize, and rest comfortably.
From the Camper Interview to all-day monitoring by our Camp Counselors, we keep a close eye on every tail wag. You can peek in through our web cameras from your computer or mobile device anytime, so you stay connected and confident about how their day is going.

Why Asheville Dog Parents Choose Camp Bow Wow South Asheville
Dog parents in the Asheville area want more than a drop-off spot. They want a trusted team that treats their pup like family and genuinely understands dog behavior. That’s exactly what we focus on.
Our Camp features an open-play environment where dogs enjoy all-day indoor and outdoor play with compatible friends. Instead of short potty breaks, your pup can run, romp, and explore under the watchful eyes of our Certified Camp Counselors, each trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid. We group dogs by size and temperament, and our team actively guides play to keep it fun and friendly for everyone.
Pricing is transparent and all-inclusive. Playtime, attention, and basic comforts are built into the daily rate, so there are no surprise add-ons at checkout. You know exactly what you’re paying before you arrive.
New to Camp? We currently offer a “Get Your First Day Free” trial so you can experience dog day care in Asheville before committing to a package. After that first visit, our “When You Re-Fur a Friend” referral program lets you earn perks when a friend you refer becomes a paying Camper. The Camp App, available on iOS and Android, lets you request reservations, manage your Camper’s profile, and access webcams right from your phone.
What Your Dog’s Day Looks Like
At our Camp in Asheville, a typical day balances active play, rest, and plenty of affection. From the moment you arrive, our team greets you and your dog by name and helps your pup settle into their play group.
After check-in, dogs join friends in our spacious indoor and outdoor yards. Camp Counselors are in the play areas, making sure pups are playing nicely, sharing toys, and taking breaks when they need them. We watch energy levels and body language so social time stays positive for everyone.
Throughout the day, dogs cycle between play and rest. We use cozy cabins or quiet spots for nap times, which can help prevent overstimulation and give pups a chance to recharge before heading back out.
For busy dog parents, it’s often convenient to combine services. Depending on availability, you may be able to coordinate day care with boarding, training sessions, or grooming so your pup comes home tired, clean, and well-mannered. First-time Campers can take advantage of our “Get Your First Day Free” trial to experience a full Camp day with no upfront commitment.

How We Keep Dog Day Care in Asheville Safe
Safety is one of the first things dog parents ask about, and it’s a top priority for us too. Group play can be wonderful when it’s thoughtfully managed, and at Camp Bow Wow South Asheville we put several layers of protection in place before a dog ever steps into the yard.
Every new Camper starts with a Camper Interview. We review vaccination records, talk with you about your dog’s history, and slowly introduce them to our environment. During this evaluation, our Camp Counselors watch how your dog interacts with others and how comfortable they are in the Camp setting before they join a group.
Once a dog joins our regular schedule, they are supervised throughout the day. Our Certified Camp Counselors are present in the play yards, encouraging good manners and stepping in when needed. We don’t rely on cameras or quick check-ins alone. We stay with the dogs, reading their cues and adjusting play or rest time as the day unfolds.
Our facility is designed with dogs in mind. Indoor areas are climate-controlled to keep pups comfortable year-round, and outdoor yards are securely fenced. We maintain clean play surfaces, fresh water, and cozy cabins so dogs have a safe place to relax. All Campers must be spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations, including Bordetella, per our Camp policies. These requirements help protect every dog in the yard and give pet parents confidence that every pup around theirs has met the same standards.
Our safety and wellness checkpoints include:
- Camper Interview and temperament evaluation before group play
- Required spay or neuter status and up-to-date vaccinations, including Bordetella, as outlined by our Camp policies
- Secure indoor and outdoor play areas with appropriate fencing
- Clean water, regularly sanitized surfaces, and monitored rest breaks
- Camp Counselors present in the yards to supervise all play
- Live webcams accessible from your computer or mobile device
Is Day Care Right for Your Dog?
Not every dog has the same needs, and that’s okay. Our job is to help you figure out whether dog day care in Asheville is a good fit for your pup based on their personality and your routine.
Day care tends to be a strong match for high-energy dogs who get restless or destructive when left alone. It’s also a good option for pups who get lonely during long workdays or who need regular socialization to stay confident in new environments. For many Asheville families, it complements an active lifestyle by giving dogs a healthy outlet while people work or run errands.
If your dog is shy, older, or new to group settings, we take that into account. During the Camper Interview, our team observes how your pup responds to new sights, sounds, and other dogs. Some dogs do better with shorter visits or quieter companions, and we work to honor those needs rather than push every dog into constant activity.
Our goal is for each dog to leave Camp content, not overwhelmed. That’s why we focus on a personalized balance of exercise, socialization, and rest rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule. Not sure if Camp is the right fit? Our “Get Your First Day Free” trial is a no-commitment way to find out. We’re always happy to talk through your dog’s personality and help you figure out how often day care makes sense.
Getting Started With Dog Day Care
Most Asheville dog parents begin with a phone call or online inquiry, then schedule a Camper Interview to see how their pup enjoys the environment. Interview Day is free and required before any dog’s first day or overnight stay.
Before your first visit, we can walk you through our vaccination and health requirements. Bringing current records helps us keep the whole pack safe. On evaluation day, you’ll have time to talk with our team, ask questions, and share anything we should know about your dog’s habits or preferences.
After your dog completes the Interview and is approved for group play, you can book regular or occasional days depending on your needs. Some families use Camp several times a week; others schedule specific days around work or travel.
On Interview Day, new Campers can take advantage of our First Day Special: 3 Full Days plus a Free Bath for $110. Day care rates are all-inclusive, with Half Days starting at $29 for one dog and Full Days at $39. Multi-dog households can bring two dogs for $71 per full day or three for $100. Package options are available for frequent Campers: 5 Full Days for $190, 10 Full Days for $370, and 20 Full Days for $740. Half-Day packages start at $140 for 5 days. All packages are non-refundable and expire after one year. To pair day care with grooming or boarding, we can walk you through scheduling options.
Here is a simple checklist to prepare for your first visit:
