Camp Bow Wow Sherwood will be opening in December of 2020, and we are looking to bring a full-time professional dog groomer on board. We will have a brand-new grooming room with bathing and drying systems installed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide quality grooming services including haircuts and styles consistent with breed and industry standards, or pet parents’ specifications.
  • Maintain a clean workspace
  • Keep a clear consistent schedule and appointment book
  • Work with the reception staff to ensure appointments are properly booked, confirmed and billed

Essential Skills

  • Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills!
  • Must be able to handle dogs in a kind and compassionate way
  • Ability to manage time in a way that maximizes efficiency while maintaining quality

Requirements

  • Completion of professional grooming program or apprenticeship
  • Minimum 6 months experience working as a groomer
  • Must be able to stand, bend and lift at least 40lbs

Reporting

  • Camp Director

Availability

You will have the ability to create your own schedule based on the needs of our customer base. Compensation is commission based.

Camp Bow Wow® Sherwood - Marketing Brand Ambassador

About the Job
The Marketing Brand Ambassador (aka Scout) works directly with the Corporate Marketing Team and the local Camp Manager to grow the business of the local Camp through a variety of marketing and sales activities.

The Scout serves as the representative of the brand in the community and through various outlets.

This role is split evenly between grassroot marketing and in-Camp responsibilities.
The Marketing Scout will work to create partnerships with local businesses and non-profits, secure and attend local events to represent the brand, and cold call community partners.

The Marketing Scout will also spend time in Camp making sales calls, building customer relationships, implementing marketing programs and promotions provided by the Corporate Office, and handling digital marketing and social media activities. Compensation will be a combination of an hourly rate, along with bonuses for meeting goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create awareness (increase new customers and sales) for Camp Bow Wow through grassroots community marketing, customer referrals and social media.
  • Secure and attend marketing events in the local community to educate the public about our services and generate new leads.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with local vet hospitals, rescues, shelters and businesses.
  • Coordinate Camp Bow Wow events and manage vendors to increase business traffic.
  • Manage social media presence and use established digital programs to increase brand visibility.
  • Track and measure all programs to manage set marketing budget and ensure Camp goals are being met.
  • Generate sales and build new customer base through phone and email follow-ups.

Essential Skills

  • Self-starter: organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Energetic and outgoing with an upbeat and positive personality.
  • Must be able to work individually as well as in a team setting.
  • MUST LOVE DOGS!!!
  • Experience with Emma email or Canva platforms are a huge bonus!

Requirements

  • 1 year of sales or marketing experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have flexible schedule

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week with a split between in-Camp responsibilities and grassroot marketing activities.

The Camp Scout position is ideal for an energetic individual with sales or marketing experience.
This individual must be a self-initiator, self-motivated and be accountable through tracking and communication.

About the Job

The Camp Supervisor will ensure the safety and security of Dogs, customers, associates and other visitors and ensures the proper care of all Campers/ Dogs. This position is heavy on computers, phones, customer and Camper / Dog contact daily.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all customers and campers in a friendly and professional manner, assuring all Camp Counselors deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Politely and professionally respond in person and by telephone to inquiries regarding services and pricing based upon CBW operational guidelines.
  • Addressing customer complaints and resolving problems and asking for advice when needed.
  • Direct supervision of all hourly staff including: hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
  • Conduct dog-screening interviews and provide enrollment packet to customers for completion. Communicate screening interview results based upon established and understood guidelines. Assist all Camp Counselors with meeting these same requirements.
  • Create and maintain consistent files for all approved dogs to include enrollment documentation, evaluation results, visit schedule, vaccination proof, spay/neuter proof, and updated contact information. Ensure that non-approved dog files are maintained for six months.
  • Schedule dogs for applicable evaluations and/or day and overnight camping appointments.
  • Prepare next day Camper paperwork and prepare special notices (i.e. color-coded sheets for meds or other special needs.
  • Ensures Daily Shift Checklists and Schedules are followed by all staff. Help facilitate work and time off scheduling of all Counselors.
  • Oversee facility upkeep/operations: to include daily auto-scrubbing floors, sweeping & mopping, cabin deep-cleansing, spraying play yards, gravel spreading, slat cleansing, trash removal, miscellaneous cleansing, etc.
  • Assist with meeting Camp’s sales objectives and company goals.
  • Completing daily reports including cash management procedures and bank deposits.
  • Opening and closing the facility.
  • Overseeing and assisting with pet care.
  • Community outreach and fundraising events.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance and completion of an individual training program for each Camp Counselor. This includes additional training when needed by Counselor.
  • Assist with coordination and input of quarterly Counselor evaluations.
  • Additional general duties and project work as needed.
  • Promote sales in the form of group/bulk service packages, retail, food (loyalty), baths/grooming, next reservations, etc.
  • Keep track of existing supplies and retail inventory, request additional needs when appropriate.
  • Keep a pulse on the Counselors which includes morale, attitude and ways to improve the overall CBW atmosphere.
  • Keep track of specific and individual details regarding Campers, their parents, specific details of incidents, etc. so that appropriate actions, measures and responses can be completed to include employee counseling.

Essential Skills

  • Time Management and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Requirements

  • 1 years management experience required.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with dogs a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Be able to lift dog food and supplies.
  • Constantly walk and/or stand entire shift.

  • Camp Director

Availability

Full time, hourly position. Must be able to work varying shift(s) per week and have open availability every day of the week. Camp is open 7 days a week, so weekends and holidays are required, as well as occasional 24/7 “on call” availability.

The Front of House Counselor will assist with animal care, data entry, scheduling and confirming appointments / reservations, greeting all pet parents and dogs, maintaining Top Dog logs, selling baths / packages / trainings, administrative task of filing / client information / answering pet parent questions via phone and in person, cleaning, preparing dog meals and providing excellent customer service.
