Pet Palooza Rerouted

The Humane Society of Charlotte's annual Pet Palooza has been shifted to Pet Palooza Rerouted, a virtual vendor fair and fundraising walk! PP Rerouted will be a way for the Charlotte community to not only support the Humane Society of Charlotte but also support local businesses who have signed on as sponsors and vendors of the event.

New Service, New Times

New Curbside Concierge Service. To make things easier for our customers during these challenging times, Camp Bow Wow Matthews is now offering a curbside concierge service. If you would rather remain in your car when you drop off or pick up your pup at Camp, just give our front desk a call at 704-708-9663. One of our counselors will be out to assist you. You may also make payment for your visit or purchase a new package by phone with your credit card.

New Temporary Weekend Schedule. Beginning Saturday, March 21, Camp Bow Wow Matthews will be operating on a modified weekend schedule until further notice.

Each Saturday and Sunday, we will be offering our regular services from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. During this time, our campers will enjoy play time with our new enrichment toys in the play yards.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, our play yards will remain closed to allow our staff to do additional cleaning of our Camp. During this time, you may still drop off and pick up your pup by using our new curbside concierge service. Our campers will spend the mid-day hours resting in their cabins.

All campers attending daycare on Saturday or Sunday while this modified schedule remains in effect will be only charged our half-day rate of $22, regardless of the hours spent at Camp.

As always, the health and safety of our employees and customers (both two-legged and four-legged) is our most important consideration. We appreciate your understanding during this time of national emergency.

South of the Bully Rescue is a 100% volunteer run, foster-based organization that facilitates the rescue and placement of homeless dogs identified as pit bulls. Our mission is to promote ethical rescue practices, responsible ownership, financial transparency and to act as an intermediary to individuals or groups looking for support for pit bulls. Our vision is to strengthen and preserve the public image of pit bull type dogs through education and awareness.

Please help us in congratulating Treana for becoming our new Camp Director. We are very excited to have Treana step up to this new role. She has proven herself a huge asset to our team for the last 4 and a half years and now she will be leading us! We are very excited to have one of our own promoted to our director!
