Took my Dexie here for an interview and day-long stay. While he's not the most social dog, I think he enjoyed it. The staff at Camp Bow Wow Matthews are fantastic -- after only a day, they knew Dexie's name and personality. They were super affectionate towards him (which he loves) and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, Dex crashed at the end of the night, worn out, no doubt, by the play, the pals he made, and the cuddles he got from the staff. We'll be back!

I took my two dogs to Camp Bow Wow for grooming. Blaiyne greeted me at the front desk and told me that Kim would be the groomer for my pups. Upon meeting Kim I told her what type of cut I wanted for them. Kim took them back and told me she would call me when they were ready to be picked up. When I picked them up they were beautifully groomed and looked so cute with their bandannas on.

Camp Bow Wow Matthews is THE place to get your dog groomed perfectly! I’ve had my dog groomed at several different places, but this one tops them all and will be my go-to groomer from now on. One of the things I appreciate most is the ability to check in on the cameras. Every time I look, Spencer is happily playing, socializing, and clearly enjoying himself. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he’s in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.

Absolutely Incredible Staff and Facility
Camp Bow Wow Matthews and all of the staff there are absolutely incredible! I was in Charlotte for six weeks of work/training, and I took my two dogs (ages 12 & 2) to daycare at Camp Bow Wow every M-F while I was there, all six weeks. They took such great care of my girls, and the facilities were really awesome too—very clean and with multiple group play rooms/areas. They also had super cute activities and enrichments planned throughout the month, which were on a laminated calendar up front at check-in, and definitely very engaging; I added quite a few while my dogs were there! I would 10/10 recommend Camp Bow Wow Matthews (and have already!!) to anyone looking for a good daycare/boarders for the pets, and I will absolutely use their services every time I’m back in Charlotte for work! Update: We took Piper for her 1st full day today. She had such an amazing day. They sent me pictures of her playing ball with a staff member as part of the enrichment time. Piper came home and has been sleeping from her full fun day. A big bonus is that we were able to watch her on the video camera to see what she was doing during the day. That is definitely an added peace of mind. She cannot wait to go back.
Original post: We took our dog Piper here for her interview yesterday so she would be able to do dog camp. Everyone was so kind to us. They explained everything and showed love to my dog immediately. After they took her back to get the interview process started, they showed me around the facility. I wanted to see the kennels they use for boarding, and everything was nice and clean. Piper stayed the whole afternoon and I could watch her on the camera on my phone. She was very tired when she got home so she must have had fun.
The only thing I was not aware of was that there are no toys for the dogs to play with in daycare. I inquired about that, but they explained the dogs get possessive and that could lead to issues. I totally agree and learned something yesterday. I was told when you board your dog they can have all their home belongings such as beds, blankets, and toys in their own kennel.
In the yard they have a little pool and a slide. Piper was just excited seeing other dogs as she has not been around many other animals.
We bought the special package and of course she will be going again next week and doing a little enrichment, which is one on one with a person and activity. So looking forward to Piper coming often to play.
