Dog Daycare: What to Expect Before the First Visit

Every new camper completes an interview before joining group play. This gives our team a chance to understand your dog’s personality, play style, and comfort level around other dogs, so we can set them up for a great experience from day one.

Up-to-date vaccinations and a clean bill of health are required to protect all the pups in our care. Once your dog is cleared, we place them in a playgroup matched to their size, temperament, and activity level, so smaller or more timid dogs play with compatible friends rather than being mixed into the full group.

A few things to know before interview day:

• Bring your dog on a secure leash or collar
• Bring any needed medications along with clear instructions
• Complete your online profile, including Camper Details, Health Records, Diet + Meds, and Initial Behavior Info, before your dog’s interview day

Dog Boarding: What’s Included in an Overnight Stay

Boarding at Camp Bow Wow Hilliard is more than a place to sleep. Every boarding guest gets full access to Dog Daycare activities throughout their stay, keeping them active and engaged from sunrise to bedtime. All-inclusive boarding rates cover playtime, meals, accommodations, and daily care with no surprise add-ons and no extra charge for medication administration.

At night, dogs settle into individual Cabins on comfy cots with fleece blankets and receive a Campfire Treat™ before bed. It’s a routine that feels a lot more like home than a kennel.

Vaccine requirements for boarding:

• Dogs must be up to date on the DHPP vaccine, which protects against Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus
• Puppies begin the DHPP series at 6 to 8 weeks old, with two boosters at three-week intervals and a third booster one year later
• Adult dogs receive boosters as their veterinarian recommends, typically every 1 to 3 years for the Distemper and Parvovirus portions
• The Leptospirosis vaccine is recommended annually

Dog Grooming: Vaccines, Scheduling & What’s Included

Dogs visiting for grooming services don’t need to complete the Camper Interview process. Grooming appointments are open to any dog whose vaccinations are current.

Required vaccines for grooming visits:

• Rabies
• Distemper
• Bivalent Flu
• Bordetella (kennel cough)

Standard grooming services include bathing, nail clipping, and other options depending on your dog’s needs. Pricing varies based on your dog’s size and coat length.

Request Dog Daycare and Dog Boarding reservations, watch your dog on Live Camper Cams, manage feeding and care instructions, upload vaccination records, and purchase daycare packages, all in one place. Live webcams are also accessible from a desktop, so you can check in on your pup from wherever you are.
