Why Families Choose Our Camp
Pet parents in Boise choose Camp Bow Wow Boise because we work to make life easier for them and happier for their dogs. Instead of feeling guilty about leaving your dog alone, you can drop them off at Camp and know they will spend the day playing, socializing, and getting plenty of attention from our team.
Our open-play model gives dogs the chance to run, romp, and make friends under the watchful eyes of our Camp Counselors. We focus on each dog’s emotional and physical well-being, so we pay attention to differences in energy, age, and play style and encourage a balance of fun and rest. The result is a dog that tends to come home content, relaxed, and ready to unwind with you after a busy day.
We also keep things simple with transparent, all-inclusive pricing. Day care includes playtime in our indoor and outdoor yards, constant supervision, and lots of affection, without surprise fees for basic care that should already be included. For busy families, our on-site training and grooming services add even more convenience, so your dog can learn good manners or enjoy a bath while they are already at Camp.
What A Day At Camp Looks Like
Knowing what your dog’s day will look like helps you feel confident choosing dog day care in Boise. From the moment you arrive at Camp Bow Wow Boise, our goal is to make drop-off smooth for both you and your pup. After passing their Camper screening, your dog is welcomed into carefully selected play groups where they can safely meet new friends.
Throughout the day, Campers rotate between active play and needed rest. Our indoor play areas provide a comfortable option during cold snaps or hot afternoons, and our outdoor yards give dogs a chance to stretch their legs and enjoy fresh air when conditions are right. Camp Counselors stay in the yards with the dogs, guiding play, offering affection, and watching for signs that a dog might need a break.
As a pet parent, you are not left wondering what is going on. With our web cameras, you can look in on your dog during lunch or between meetings and see them playing or resting with their buddies. At pick-up time, our team shares how your dog’s day went, so you get a sense of who they played with and how they settled in.
A typical day at Camp often includes:
- Morning drop-off and a warm welcome from our team
- Group play in indoor or outdoor yards, depending on the weather
- Rest periods so pups can recharge and avoid getting overtired
- Plenty of TLC from Camp Counselors who get to know your dog
- Afternoon playtime followed by an easy, happy pick-up with you
Safety, Screening & Supervision
For many pet parents, safety is the biggest question when considering day care. At Camp Bow Wow Boise, we treat safety as the foundation of everything we do. Before any dog joins group play, we complete a Camper screening that helps us understand their behavior, comfort level, and how they interact with other dogs and people.
During this process, we review vaccination records to support a healthy environment and take time to see how your dog responds to new surroundings. Our goal is to place dogs in play groups where they can feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. Some factors, such as age, size, and energy level, can help us decide which groups may be the best fit.
Once dogs are at Camp, they are not left alone in the play yards. Our Camp Counselors are trained to read dog body language, guide play, and step in if a dog appears tired or overwhelmed. The facility is monitored throughout the day, and we stay alert for changes in a dog’s behavior or needs, so we can respond quickly and appropriately.
We also know that transparency builds trust. That is why we offer web cameras, so you can see your dog while they are at Camp and feel reassured about what group play looks like here in the area. When you pick your dog up, our team is happy to answer questions and share how the day went.
Getting Started With Dog Daycare
Starting day care at Camp Bow Wow Boise is designed to be straightforward and stress-free. The first step is to reach out to our Boise team so we can talk about your dog’s age, personality, and routine, and help you schedule a Camper screening. This visit gives us a chance to meet your pup and gives you a chance to see Camp in person.
Before your dog’s first day, we ask that you provide up-to-date vaccination information and share any special instructions about diet, medications, or routines. Our team uses this information to understand your dog better and to support their comfort at Camp. If you would like, we can also walk you through what a typical day looks like and how we communicate with pet parents.
Our pricing is all-inclusive, so you know what is covered when you book a day of play. Day care includes supervised play in indoor and outdoor yards, rest breaks as needed, and lots of affection from our Camp Counselors. For families who travel or need overnight care, our cozy cabins and boarding options can complement day care, and training or grooming can often be scheduled during a stay.
If you are ready to see if our Camp is the right fit, we invite you to schedule a tour. You can meet our team, see the play areas, and ask any questions about how day care works here in Boise. To get started or to learn more, give us a call, and we will help you plan your dog’s first day.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Do You Make Sure Play Stays Safe?
We focus on safety through Camper screening, thoughtful play group selection, and active supervision. Camp Counselors stay in the yards, watch body language, and guide play so dogs stay comfortable. We also provide rest breaks, which help prevent overtired behavior that could lead to conflicts.
Can I Watch My Dog While They Are At Camp?
Yes, you can check in on your dog through our web cameras. Many pet parents enjoy watching their pup play between meetings or errands. Cameras support transparency and give you a direct view of what life at Camp looks like throughout the day.
What Does My Dog Need Before Their First Day?
Your dog needs current vaccination records that meet our requirements and a completed Camper screening. We also recommend sharing any health details or routine information with our team. This helps us prepare for your dog’s visit and support a smooth, comfortable first day.
Will My Dog Be Playing All Day Or In A Crate?
Our program is built around open play with rest. Dogs spend much of their day socializing in supervised play yards, then enjoy breaks when they need to recharge. We do not use day-long crating, and we work to balance activity and downtime for each dog.
Is Your Dog Daycare A Good Fit For My Pup?
Our day care can be a good fit for many dogs who enjoy being around other pups and people. The Camper screening helps us learn whether group play suits your dog’s temperament. We are happy to talk with you about age, energy level, and what your pup enjoys.
When you are ready to give your dog a fun, safe place to spend the day, our team at Camp Bow Wow Boise is here to help. We work to provide a high-quality dog day care Boise families can rely on, with a focus on safety, transparency, and tail-wagging good times.
Our size-and-temperament groupings help your dog build confidence and social skills at their own pace. Contact us at (208) 897-2571 or book online to schedule your dog’s required Camper screening and join our Boise pack.

Dog Daycare FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Boise is here to help!
-
Yes, Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs attending daycare to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s also recommended that dogs receive the Leptospirosis vaccine annually, as it can be deadly and spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects dogs from four serious and contagious illnesses: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs continue booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion usually given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all dogs attending daycare at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog daycare, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.
- Camp Bow Wow understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.
- For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or daycare services at Camp Bow Wow.
- As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all Campers and is not advised for open play environments.
-
Dogs staying overnight can be dropped off anytime that day during Camp hours. We suggest arriving before 4 p.m., so they can play, eat, and play again before bedtime. While you can check your pup in and out anytime during Camp hours at no additional cost, we do request you pick them up 15 minutes before closing, so we can tuck in our Overnight Campers.
-
This measure is to ensure the safety of all our Campers. Dogs can become possessive of toys, which can cause an altercation. If small pieces are torn off or broken off, a dog could choke or swallow and cause an obstruction.

You can view the free live webcams on the Camp Bow Wow website via your computer, tablet, or mobile device. We also invite you to download our iPhone or Android app to easily access the cameras from anywhere. The cameras are on during business hours when the pups are at play. Many locations offer luxury suites with 24/7 access to the suite’s webcam.
