Kourtney Years With Camp Bow Wow: 6 Manager

Hello! My name is Kourtney, I am the Area Manager for both Camp Bow Wows in the Treasure Valley. I have been working for Camp for 8+ years, and it is absolutely my dream job. It's difficult to consider what I do work, just because it is so fun and rewarding. I am originally from Emmett, Idaho, where I currently live on a small hobby farm. I have four furry dog children of my own, Oakley an English Pointer mix, Polly a Bulldog mix, Creature a Bulldog mix, and Abe a Boston Terrier who are my room mates and loves of my life. On my farm; I also take care of a variety of critters like; chickens, ducks, goats, cats, even two miniature donkeys! I love caring for all animals, especially dogs, and that is why working for Camp Bow Wow has been such a passion for me. I'm grateful I get the opportunity to work with the dogs on a daily basis, as well as the many wonderful pet parents. I look forward to seeing all of you and your fur kids at Camp, old and new!

A couple of the most frequently asked questions I receive while giving a tour of our camp is, “Why did you decide to do this? “, and “Why Camp Bow Wow?” It’s pretty simple really. Greg and I love animals! We decided to make it our living since it was already our passion.

We decided Camp Bow Wow was a great alternative for people who travel and need overnight boarding for their dogs. We used to travel a lot and our children would come into our home and watch our many animals. A funny thing happened. They grew up and now have families of their own. Greg and I decided we wanted to help other dog (and animal) guardians by offering an alternative to traditional boarding. We give furry family members a home away from home. We also have day camp, where a dog can be a dog!

Hi, My name is Kim and I am the Staff Trainer at Camp Bow Wow where I have been working for 10 years. I started out as a client at Camp Bow Wow when my dog Mac was just a pup and neither he nor I have ever looked back.

I was born in Boise but grew up in Seattle, WA where I found my love of working with dogs when I started volunteering at a local animal shelter. Eventually I moved on to working primarily with special needs dogs who came into the shelter, specifically special needs bully breeds. I moved back to Boise in 2008 to attend school at BSU but soon after realized just how much I missed working with dogs, when I got my first dog on my own in 2009 I searched long and hard for a place I felt safe leaving him and that’s how we ended up at CBW. I currently live in Boise with my husband Matt, our now senior Australian Koolie mix, Mac and our American Pit Bull Terrier, Rollie. I truly enjoy coming to work every day and am so thankful to be able to honestly say I love my job!

I also spend time working with rescues to help train dogs and make them more adoptable. I look forward to getting to know you and your dog (or dogs) at Camp Bow Wow.

Brianna Years With Camp Bow Wow: 1.5 years Camp Counselor

Hello my name is Brianna and I’ve been a counselor at Camp Bow Wow since December 2018! I originally worked at the Boise location for a year then transferred out to the Meridian Camp which I love and enjoy equally as much. I own a very hyper and silly border collie mix who happily accompanies me on all my adventures. In the mornings I work for a dog walking company located in the North end which means I get to be with dogs 24/7 and I consider myself so lucky! I love running half marathons like Robie Creek, hiking through the Boise foothills, and just being outside in general. Give me a good book on a sunny day in a field filled with 1 million dogs and I’m pretty sure I’ll be in heaven!!!

Landrey and her fluffy sidekick Archie have been with Camp Bow Wow Boise since June 2021. Landrey was born and raised on a “mini farm” in Oregon where she raised Pigs, chickens, ducks, and many more furry friends with her parents and 3 siblings. She spent her teenage years running a Squirrel “rehab and release” sanctuary with her dad. Her love for animals started at birth, and has only grown with her. Her parents are both animal lovers and taught her early on about the special kind of love and bond that only a dog can offer. Archie is her perfect example of that bond. Landrey is a cosmetologist as well, but found that she prefers dog fur rather than human hair on her clothes! In Landrey’s time off, when she’s missing the pups at work, she spends time with her boyfriend Ryan and their own fur babies Archie the golden retriever and Billie and River the trouble making cats!
