A couple of the most frequently asked questions I receive while giving a tour of our camp is, “Why did you decide to do this? “, and “Why Camp Bow Wow?” It’s pretty simple really. Greg and I love animals! We decided to make it our living since it was already our passion.

We decided Camp Bow Wow was a great alternative for people who travel and need overnight boarding for their dogs. We used to travel a lot and our children would come into our home and watch our many animals. A funny thing happened. They grew up and now have families of their own. Greg and I decided we wanted to help other dog (and animal) guardians by offering an alternative to traditional boarding. We give furry family members a home away from home. We also have day camp, where a dog can be a dog!

I'm so happy I did too, because I love working here at Camp Bow Wow! I have loved dogs my whole life, and recently was lucky enough to adopt my spunky lovable chocolate mutt Chevy. When I'm not teaching Chevy tricks, I love to take him hiking and camping. I have loved meeting all the furry friends and their parents here at Camp Bow Wow. Hi, my name is Kim and I’m a shift lead at CBW- Boise where I’ve been working for over 8 years. I started out at Camp Bow Wow as a client when my dog Mac was just a pup and neither he or I have ever looked back.

I was born in Boise but grew up in Seattle, WA where I found my love of working with dogs when I began volunteering at a local animal shelter. Eventually I moved on to working primarily with special needs dogs who came into the shelter specifically special needs bully breeds. In 2008 I moved back to Boise to attend school at BSU but soon after realized just how much I missed working with dogs, when I got my first dog on my own in 2009 I searched long and hard to find a place I felt safe leaving him and that’s how we ended up at CBW. I currently live in Boise with my husband Matt and our now senior Australian Koolie mix Mac and our American Pit Bull Terrier Rollie. I truly enjoy coming to work every single day and for as much as I love it I can promise my pups love it 10x more!

Hi I’m Sam and I’ve been with Camp Bow Wow since November 2016 and have absolutely loved it! After graduating high school in 2014 I went to college for 3 years on and off but then decided to take a break to explore my passions, dogs being a big one! Film is my other big passion and when I’m not at work you can find me spending time with friends, going to the movies, or watching an entire season of my favorite show in one day! When I’m not taking care of the pups at Camp, I’m home taking care of my own two senior Dachshunds, Sadie(18yrs, left) and Buddy(15yrs, right), they are my life!! I have a big soft spot in my heart for senior pups, but I love spending time with all the amazing dogs (and people) I meet at Camp!
