With our Camper screening process and live web cameras, you can feel confident about where your dog spends the day.

Why Pet Parents in Midtown Choose Us
When you trust someone with your dog, you want more than a simple place to park them for a few hours. Families choose our Camp because we focus on both emotional and physical well-being. Dogs enjoy all-day play with plenty of chances to rest, so they go home content and ready to relax with you.
We also keep things simple for you. Our daycare has an all-inclusive approach, so playtime, attention, and supervision are part of the core experience. You do not have to worry about surprise fees for extra potty breaks or basic care. Our team works to keep communication clear, so you always know what is included and how your dog spends their time.
Safety is always at the center of what we do. Every new Camper completes a screening that helps us understand their play style and comfort level with other dogs. Our Camp Counselors are trained to watch dog body language, encourage healthy play, and step in when it is time for a break. You can check in on our webcams during the day, which helps many dog parents feel more relaxed while they are in the office or heading to meetings.
Convenience also matters when your schedule is packed. Our Camp in Midtown is designed for people who move quickly from home to work to errands. Flexible drop-off and pick-up windows help you work daycare into your routine instead of planning your day around it. If you later need boarding, training, or grooming, you can use the same familiar place your dog already knows.
What Your Dog’s Day Looks Like At Camp Near Midtown
It helps to know exactly what your dog will be doing while you are away. From the moment you arrive at our Camp, our team greets you and your pup, checks them in, and guides them to the right play group. We keep the process friendly and efficient, so you can head out without feeling rushed or worried.
Once your dog is in our play yards, the fun begins. Dogs spend the day in supervised group play that lets them burn off energy, practice social skills, and enjoy being around friends. We offer a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, so dogs can stay comfortable in different weather while still getting exercise and stimulation.
We also know that rest is as important as play. Throughout the day, dogs get breaks to relax and recharge. Some pups love to stretch out in a quiet spot, while others enjoy short pauses before heading back to play. Our Camp Counselors pay attention to energy levels and help each dog find the right balance, whether they are high-energy or more laid back.
If your dog boards with us in the future, they can wind down in a cozy cabin at night after a full day of daycare activities. For daycare visits, we make sure the afternoon includes time to settle before you arrive, so pick-up feels calm instead of chaotic. Many families tell us their dogs are excited to come in the morning and ready to snooze when they get home.
A typical day at our Camp often includes:
- Morning check-in and a warm welcome from our team
- Joining a playgroup that matches size, temperament, and play style
- Supervised indoor and outdoor play sessions with toys and friends
- Built-in rest breaks so pups can relax and reset
- Afternoon wind-down before you arrive for pick-up
Throughout the day, our Camp Counselors stay engaged with the dogs, not just watching from a distance. They encourage good manners, redirect overly excited play, and offer affection to pups who enjoy extra snuggles. You can see the action for yourself on our webcams, which provide an extra layer of comfort while you are working or out nearby.
How We Keep Campers Safe
Safety is often the biggest concern for dog parents who are new to daycare, and that concern is completely understandable. We design every step of our process to support a safe and enjoyable experience for each dog. Before a pup ever joins a group, they go through our Camper screening process to help us learn about their behavior and comfort level.
During this evaluation, we gather information about your dog’s history with other dogs and people. Then we slowly introduce them to the play environment and a few potential friends while our team watches closely. This helps us see how your dog communicates and which play styles they enjoy. We move forward with group play when we believe your dog will feel comfortable and safe.
Health is another key part of safety. We require current vaccinations and check for signs of illness before dogs join group activities. While we cannot control every external factor, we work to reduce avoidable risks by maintaining health standards and encouraging parents to keep us updated on any changes with their dogs.
Once dogs are part of our Camp, we group them thoughtfully. We look at size, age, energy, and personality, and we adjust when needed. A shy pup might start in a calmer group with gentle playmates, while a bouncy dog may enjoy a livelier setting. Our goal is to create playgroups where each dog can relax and have fun without feeling overwhelmed.
Our Camp Counselors are always present in the play areas, watching for signs of fatigue, stress, or overly rough play. When a dog needs a break, we guide them to a quiet space to rest. We also maintain clean play areas and monitor the environment throughout the day. You can add your own peace of mind by checking our webcams, which give you a window into your dog’s day at any time.
Daycare That Fits Life in Midtown
Living or working in Midtown often means long days, busy sidewalks, and limited green space. It can be hard to give your dog the exercise and social time they crave before and after work. Our daycare is built with that reality in mind, so you can feel good about your dog’s day even when your schedule is full.
Drop-off in the morning is designed to be quick and friendly. You bring your dog in on your way to the office or your first appointment, and we take it from there. At the end of the day, you return to a dog who has played, rested, and been cared for by people who treat them like family. Many pet parents appreciate being able to run errands or attend events after work without worrying that their dog has been waiting alone for hours.
Because we are part of a full-service Camp, you also have options beyond daycare when you need them. If you plan a trip, your dog can stay overnight in a cozy cabin and still enjoy daytime play. If you are interested in training or grooming, you do not have to shuttle your dog between different locations. Everything happens in one familiar environment, which can help dogs feel more secure.
When you are ready to get started, our team is here to answer questions and schedule your dog’s Camper screening. We are happy to talk through your dog’s personality, any past daycare experiences, and what you hope they gain from coming to Camp. Together, we work to create a routine that supports both your lifestyle and your pup’s happiness.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my dog is right for daycare?
We start with a Camper screening to see how your dog feels in our environment. During this visit, we learn about their history, introduce them slowly to new friends, and watch their body language. If group play seems like a good fit, we will talk with you about next steps.
What will my dog do all day at Camp?
Your dog spends the day rotating between supervised group play, rest breaks, and quiet time when needed. They enjoy indoor and outdoor yards, toys, and interaction with Camp Counselors. We work to balance fun and downtime so your pup goes home happily tired, not overwhelmed.

Dog Day Care FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Anchorage is here to help!
-
Yes, Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs attending daycare to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s also recommended that dogs receive the Leptospirosis vaccine annually, as it can be deadly and spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects dogs from four serious and contagious illnesses: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs continue booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion usually given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all dogs attending daycare at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog daycare, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.

Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.
- Camp Bow Wow understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.
- For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or daycare services at Camp Bow Wow.
- As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all Campers and is not advised for open play environments.
-
Dogs staying overnight can be dropped off anytime that day during Camp hours. We suggest arriving before 4 p.m., so they can play, eat, and play again before bedtime. While you can check your pup in and out anytime during Camp hours at no additional cost, we do request you pick them up 15 minutes before closing, so we can tuck in our Overnight Campers.
-
This measure is to ensure the safety of all our Campers. Dogs can become possessive of toys, which can cause an altercation. If small pieces are torn off or broken off, a dog could choke or swallow and cause an obstruction.

You can view the free live webcams on the Camp Bow Wow website via your computer, tablet, or mobile device. We also invite you to download our iPhone or Android app to easily access the cameras from anywhere. The cameras are on during business hours when the pups are at play. Many locations offer luxury suites with 24/7 access to the suite’s webcam.
