Finally a Camp Bow Wow in Anchorage! Sep 16, 2026

We are extremely picky when it comes to boarding our dog and have used boarding facilities all over for the past 16 years. We were already familiar with Camp Bow Wow and were so excited to see one open in Anchorage. From our initial assessment, we were impressed. The staff was friendly, hands-on, and genuinely seemed excited to be there with the dogs. They gave us a great tour and, more importantly, explained exactly what a typical day looks like, including playtime, potty breaks, rest periods, and the overall schedule. That level of detail really stood out to us. At other boarding facilities, we have asked similar questions and usually received very vague answers. I don't want to just assume my dog is playing all day without knowing what her actual routine looks like. We left feeling very comfortable with the staff and facility. We are so happy to finally have a Camp Bow Wow in Anchorage and feel confident having a place here that we trust with our dog.

I absolutely love Camp Bow Wow! 🐾❤️ Daphne has been going there for daycare, and the difference I've seen in her has been incredible. She was initially very timid and unsure around other dogs, but the staff has been so patient, caring, and wonderful with her. She has really come out of her shell and now gets excited to play and socialize with the other dogs. I feel completely comfortable leaving Daphne there because I know she is well cared for, loved, and having a great time. The staff genuinely seems to know and care about each dog as an individual, and that means so much to me. Daphne comes home happy and tired, which is always a win! 😊 I'm so grateful we found Camp Bow Wow and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and fun place for their dog. 🐶💕

I cannot say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow! My boys love going there, the staff are incredible, and I always pick up two very happy, very tired pups. I love being able to check on them during the day using the camper cams and I always see my boys having the best time! Billie and her team have been so supportive of me and my family through surgeries and difficult days, and having a place that I know I can trust to take care of my boys helps me in ways I can't even describe.

First time camping and we loved it. The counselors were friendly and put us and our pooch at ease immediately. We especially enjoyed the cameras. We could watch and see that our pooch was interacting and playing with other dogs. I can't wait to bring him back! Thank you for caring for our dog!

My pup, who is normally so nervous/anxious at daycares, really opened up here. I've never seen her happy to go to daycare/boarding, and that changed here! The staff always remembers her name and expresses such happiness in seeing her. Also, they make check-ins/outs super quick and easy. It's been such a pleasure to use Camp Bow Wow!

The facility is clean, staff are friendly, and my fur baby gets her energy out during the day while I’m out and about! They have a great structured way of introducing new dogs to make sure it’s a good fit, I would highly recommend :)

Absolutely Love This Place! 🐾❤️ Daphne absolutely LOVES coming here! After being attacked by a neighbor’s dog, she became very nervous around other dogs and would often run away instead of wanting to play. Since coming here, she has slowly come out of her shell and is learning to trust and enjoy being around other dogs again. Watching her run in excited to see her friends has been amazing! 🥰 I’m so grateful for the patience, love, and care she receives here. They have truly helped my girl find her confidence again. I couldn’t recommend this Camp Bow Wow enough! ❤️🐶

Very friendly owners! Clean environment; they give you a tour so you know what environment your fur baby will be in. They also have bathing on-site. Go check them out; you will not be disappointed. You also get a free introductory day at no cost. It is a little pricey but worth it.

Met the proud and knowledgeable owner at orientation and did a tour of the facility. My husky pup was well cared for by friendly staff for his first day of camp. They even gave him a report card and special printout. Love how this place has many thoughtful touches that provide peace of mind and happiness to both the dogs and owners.

Our dog came for a free three-hour interview to see whether she would be happy if boarded at this location. We were very pleased with the care they took to acclimate her to the other dogs on site. Having access to a camera where we could check on her and see how she was doing was a big plus. We booked her boarding days when we picked her up because we were so pleased with the staff and cleanliness of the facility.

First impressions: clean, welcoming, very friendly staff. Our dog, Chicken, had her first day at daycare and she had a blast. She's an older girl and I love that I was able to watch the staff introduce her to the other dogs. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t forced, it was very calm and casual. Unlike other places where they let the dogs loose and hope for the best. The app: so easy to use, I love that I could check in on her. Chicken's review: she was asleep, snoring, before we hit Dowling. Then proceeded to not move from her couch the rest of the night. Safe to say she had a great time and tried getting into the car with us this morning. All of the staff that I interacted with were so kind, very knowledgeable, and answered all of the questions I had and things that arose last minute. We can’t wait for her to go back!

Staff is so helpful, friendly, and attentive! We came in for a bath, staff greeted her happily and let her sniff around the camp so that she could get comfortable. They also offered a tour of the facility, which is very clean and spacious. The groomer did a great job with my dog's bath and deshed - will be back again!
