Why Our Camp Is Different

Many pet parents in Woodstock are looking for more than a quick potty break or a short walk. They want their dogs to enjoy real playtime and socialization in a supervised setting. At our Camp, dogs enjoy an open-play environment where they can run, wrestle, and explore with their friends while we keep a close eye on every interaction.

We design each day around a thoughtful mix of exercise, social time, and rest. Active pups can burn off energy in our spacious indoor and outdoor play yards, while more relaxed dogs can take breaks as needed. Our Camp Counselors watch for body language and behavior, then guide play so that dogs feel confident and comfortable instead of overwhelmed.

Pet parents also appreciate our straightforward, all-inclusive pricing. We work to keep things simple, so you know what is included when your dog spends the day at Camp. There are no surprise fees for basic care, which makes it easier to budget and to relax while your dog is with us.

Because we offer daycare, boarding, training, and grooming in one place, our Camp often becomes a long-term home-away-from-home. Once your dog feels comfortable in our play yards, it is easy to add services like a bath after a day of play or an overnight stay when you travel. That consistency helps your dog feel secure and helps your family simplify pet care.

A Day At Camp For Your Dog

When you drop your dog off at our Camp in Woodstock, we greet you both and complete a quick check-in. Your dog joins their appropriate play group after meeting our Camper requirements, and we introduce them gradually so they can get to know the space and the other dogs at their own pace. Our aim is for every dog to start the day feeling curious and comfortable.

Throughout the day, dogs enjoy supervised play in roomy indoor and outdoor yards. Weather permitting, groups spend time outside to sniff, explore, and move around, then head inside to cool off or take a break. Camp Counselors stay in the play yards with the dogs, encouraging healthy play styles and stepping in when it is time to redirect or give a pup a rest.

Rest is an important part of our routine. We provide quiet time during the day so dogs can recharge between play sessions. This helps prevent overstimulation and supports both physical and emotional well-being. For pups who attend daycare regularly, this rhythm of play and rest often becomes a familiar pattern that feels safe and predictable.

As a pet parent, you can check in on your dog using our web cameras that show the play yards. Many families in Woodstock, GA, like to peek in during a lunch break or between meetings. Seeing your dog chase a ball or nap beside a new friend can make it easier to focus on your own day and feel confident about their care.

How We Keep Dogs Safe

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Camp Bow Wow Woodstock. Before any dog joins group play, they go through our Camper screening process. This helps us understand their play style, comfort level with other dogs, and any special needs they may have. We use this information to decide whether open-play daycare is a good fit and how to place them in the right group.

We also require that Campers meet our health and vaccination expectations. These guidelines help reduce the risk of illness and keep our Camp community healthier overall. When your dog spends the day with us in Woodstock, you can feel reassured knowing that other dogs in the play yards have been evaluated and meet the same basic requirements.

Once your dog is approved, we group pups by size, temperament, and play style whenever possible. This helps high-energy dogs find suitable companions and gives gentler or more reserved dogs a calmer environment. Camp Counselors stay in the yards with the dogs, monitoring interactions, guiding introductions, and watching for signs that a dog may need a break.

Cleanliness and facility care are another part of our safety focus. Our team follows sanitation routines for play areas and rest spaces. We also keep a close eye on the environment, such as water availability and gate security, so we can address concerns quickly. Your dog’s experience is not only fun, but it is also carefully managed behind the scenes.

Key ways we work to keep Campers safe:

  • Camper interviews that help us understand each dog before group play
  • Health and vaccination requirements for every dog that attends Camp
  • Groupings that take size, temperament, and play style into account
  • Camp Counselors present in the yards, monitoring the dogs as they play
  • Regular cleaning routines for play spaces and rest areas

Getting Started With Daycare

If you are thinking about daycare for your dog in Woodstock, we want the process to feel straightforward and low-stress. The first step is to contact our team so we can answer your questions and help you plan your dog’s introduction to Camp. We will share our Camper requirements and help you schedule an evaluation or first visit.

Before your dog joins a play group, we meet them, review their vaccination records, and learn about their routine at home. This is a helpful time for you to share information about your dog’s personality, favorite games, and any sensitivities. Our goal is to get to know your pup so we can help them settle in comfortably during their first day of daycare.

On that first day, you can expect an early drop-off window so your dog can ease into the group as other Campers arrive. Camp Counselors monitor their adjustment, offer encouragement, and provide breaks as needed. We work to communicate with you about how their day is going, especially if it is their first time in an open-play setting.

For your dog’s first day at Camp, plan to:

  • Contact us to schedule a Camper evaluation or first daycare visit
  • Provide up-to-date vaccination records and important health details
  • Share notes about your dog’s behavior, likes, and dislikes
  • Bring any allowed items you would like your dog to have for comfort
  • Allow a little extra time at drop-off to review questions with our team

Many families in Woodstock start with a single day of daycare to see how their dog enjoys Camp. Over time, they often build a schedule that fits their workweek, whether that is several days each week or occasional visits when life gets busy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will you make sure my dog is safe in group play?

We start with a Camper screening to see how your dog interacts with others, then place them in a suitable play group. Camp Counselors stay in the yards with the dogs, guiding play and offering breaks. Health requirements and cleaning routines further support a safe environment.

What does a typical day at Camp look like?

Your dog checks in, joins an appropriate play group, and enjoys supervised play in indoor and outdoor yards with rest periods built in. During the day, Camp Counselors interact with the dogs, encourage good manners, and provide affection. At pick-up, you get a happily tired camper.

Can I check on my dog while they are at Camp?

Yes, you can view your dog in our play yards through web cameras during the day. Many pet parents like to peek in from work to see their dogs playing or resting. It is one more way we keep your dog’s day transparent and help you feel connected.

What does my dog need before their first day?

Your dog will need to meet our health and vaccination expectations and complete a Camper evaluation. We also ask you to share information about their behavior, routine, and any special needs. Our team will explain the details when you schedule, so you know exactly what to bring.

Is your daycare a good fit for shy or high-energy dogs?

Many shy and high-energy dogs enjoy Camp once they are introduced thoughtfully. Dog Daycare FAQs

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Woodstock is here to help!

  • Yes, Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs attending daycare to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s also recommended that dogs receive the Leptospirosis vaccine annually, as it can be deadly and spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects dogs from four serious and contagious illnesses: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs continue booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion usually given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all dogs attending daycare at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog daycare, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.

    • Camp Bow Wow understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.
    • For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or daycare services at Camp Bow Wow.
    • As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all Campers and is not advised for open play environments.
  • Dogs staying overnight can be dropped off anytime that day during Camp hours. We suggest arriving before 4 p.m., so they can play, eat, and play again before bedtime. While you can check your pup in and out anytime during Camp hours at no additional cost, we do request you pick them up 15 minutes before closing, so we can tuck in our Overnight Campers.

  • This measure is to ensure the safety of all our Campers. Dogs can become possessive of toys, which can cause an altercation. If small pieces are torn off or broken off, a dog could choke or swallow and cause an obstruction.

  • You can view the free live webcams on the Camp Bow Wow website via your computer, tablet, or mobile device. We also invite you to download our iPhone or Android app to easily access the cameras from anywhere. The cameras are on during business hours when the pups are at play. Many locations offer luxury suites with 24/7 access to the suite’s webcam.
