Dog Day Care in Woodstock

Open-Play Dog Daycare in Woodstock

Dog daycare should offer more than a quick potty break or short walk. At our Camp, dogs can run, explore, and socialize in a supervised open-play environment while our Camp Counselors keep a close eye on interactions.

We shape the day around a balanced mix of exercise, social time, and rest. Active pups can burn off energy in our spacious indoor and outdoor play yards, while dogs who need a slower pace can take breaks. Our Counselors watch body language and behavior, then guide play according to each dog’s comfort and interaction style.

Pet parents also appreciate our straightforward, all-inclusive pricing. Our pricing helps you understand what’s included before your dog spends the day with us.

Because we offer daycare, boarding, training, and grooming in one place, your dog can become comfortable with a familiar setting and team. You can add services such as a bath after a day of play or an overnight stay when you travel.

What Your Dog’s Day at Camp May Include

At drop-off, we greet you and your pup and complete check-in. Once your dog has met our Camper requirements, we place them in an appropriate play group based on factors such as comfort, temperament, and play style. Introductions and placement may vary depending on how your dog responds that day.

Dogs spend time playing in roomy indoor and outdoor yards while Camp Counselors encourage healthy interactions and redirect play when needed. Water, quiet time, and opportunities to pause help balance activity with recovery.

You can also check the play yards through our web cameras. Whether you look during lunch or between meetings, this visibility lets you stay connected without interrupting your dog’s day.

Dog Daycare Screening, Supervision & Safety

Before joining group play, each dog completes our screening process at Camp Bow Wow Woodstock. We use it to learn about the dog’s play style, comfort around other dogs, and relevant behavioral or health information before deciding whether open-play daycare is a suitable fit.

Screening & Group Placement

Campers must meet our current health and vaccination expectations. Because requirements can change, confirm which records and information you’ll need before your dog’s first visit.

Once a dog is approved, we consider size, temperament, and play style when choosing a group. Our Counselors guide introductions, monitor behavior, and give dogs redirection or a rest break when needed.

Supervision, Training & Visibility

Our certified Camp Counselors receive training in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid. We also clean shared play and rest spaces regularly and monitor details such as water availability and gate security throughout the day.

Live web cameras offer another layer of visibility, allowing you to check the play yards during your dog’s stay.

Our daycare safeguards include:

• Camper Interviews that help us get to know each dog before group play
• Current health and vaccination requirements for dogs attending Camp. Learn about our Bordetella policy
• Play groups that account for size, temperament, and interaction style
• Certified Camp Counselors^® trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid
• Supervised play, rest opportunities, and regular cleaning of shared spaces
• Live webcams accessible from a computer or mobile device

Preparing for Your Dog’s First Day

If you’re considering dog day care in Woodstock, start by reaching out to contact our team. We can explain the current introduction process, tell you which records are required, and confirm whether your dog needs an evaluation or introductory visit before joining group play.

Think about how your dog responds to unfamiliar dogs, new people, noise, and group activity. Tell us about their routine, behavior patterns, health information, sensitivities, and preferred ways to rest. This context helps us understand what your pup may need while becoming comfortable at Camp.

During an evaluation or introductory visit, we can observe your dog’s comfort and interactions before choosing a play group. The process may vary based on your dog’s behavior and current Camp policies, so confirm the details before arrival.

To prepare for the introduction:

• Ask about the current evaluation and scheduling process
• Confirm which vaccination records and health details are required
• Share information about your dog’s behavior, routine, and sensitivities
• Ask what to bring and what should remain at home
• Discuss any concerns about group play before the visit

Dog Daycare FAQ

Is Daycare Suitable for a Shy or High-Energy Dog?

It depends on the individual dog. Our screening process helps us understand how your pup handles new situations and whether open play is appropriate. If your dog joins Camp, our Counselors monitor their interactions and adjust play and rest opportunities according to their comfort.
