The CampLife Experience
At Camp Bow Wow Tri Valley / Livermore, caring for your dog isn’t just a service. It’s a commitment we take seriously every single day. We know how much your dog means to you, and that’s what drives every decision we make about how we run our facility, staff our team, and structure our program.
The Introduction Process
Before your dog joins the play environment, they complete a Camper Interview. This lets our team evaluate their temperament, preferred interaction style, and comfort level in a group setting. We use that information to place them in the right play group from the start, so they can ease in gradually and positively rather than feeling dropped into the deep end. After the interview, we’ll share a brief summary of how your dog adjusted and any observations from our Certified Camp Counselors®.
Personalized Attention Throughout the Day
Our Certified Camp Counselors® supervise every interaction, grouping dogs by size, temperament, and energy level so that play feels natural and rewarding for everyone involved. When behaviors like excessive barking, mounting, or rough play come up, we use gentle correction and positive reinforcement to redirect them. Scheduled rest periods are built into the day to prevent overstimulation and keep moods stable. As your dog grows in confidence, we adjust their group placement to match any changes in how they play.
Safe, Clean Play Yards & Cabins
Every part of our facility serving Pleasanton families, including indoor play areas, outdoor play yards, overnight cabins, water bowls, and toys, is cleaned and disinfected daily with pet-safe products. Whether your dog is sprinting across a play yard or settling in for a rest, every space is managed with their comfort and safety in mind.
Live Webcams & What Dogs Need to Attend
Wondering what your pup is up to mid-morning? Our live webcams let you check in from any computer or mobile device throughout the day. Pleasanton pet parents tell us it’s one of their favorite parts of CampLife, and it’s included at no extra charge.
To keep every dog safe and healthy, all Campers must meet these requirements before joining the play environment:
- Current Vaccinations: Dogs must be up to date on required vaccines, including Bordetella, which helps protect against respiratory illness commonly spread in group settings.
- Spayed or Neutered: All dogs attending daycare must be spayed or neutered.
- Camper Interview: Every new dog completes a temperament assessment before joining the group, helping us maintain a compatible, safe environment for everyone.
Our Certified Camp Counselors® are trained in dog behavior, pet first aid, and CPR, so you can drop off your pup knowing qualified, caring hands are watching over them all day.
Why Pleasanton Dogs Thrive in the CampLife Program
Regular dog daycare delivers real benefits for your dog’s health, behavior, and overall well-being. Here’s what Pleasanton pet parents can expect when their dog joins CampLife:
- Consistent Physical Exercise: Our large indoor and outdoor play spaces give dogs room to run. Your dog can come home cheerfully tired and ready to unwind.
- Support for Anxiety and Destructive Habits: Dogs left alone for long stretches during the workday can develop separation anxiety or destructive behaviors. Our structured, activity-rich environment helps redirect that energy and supports calmer behavior at home.
- Social Confidence with Dogs and People: Whether your dog is naturally outgoing or still finding their footing, structured time in our open-play environment helps them build bonds with other dogs and feel comfortable around our team.
- Mental Stimulation: New sights, smells, games, and interaction keep your dog’s mind engaged throughout the day. For dogs who enjoy an extra challenge, enrichment programs are available to support curiosity and learning.
- A Sense of Belonging: At Camp Bow Wow Tri Valley / Livermore, your dog joins an active, welcoming group where friendships develop naturally. Dogs staying overnight join Day Campers during the day and return to familiar faces and individual cabins each evening.
Puppies are welcome too! Contact our Camp for eligibility details and to find out when your pup is ready to join.
