Owners with Deep Roots in Dog Care

Camp Bow Wow Sandy has been owned and operated by siblings Jodie Nelson and Mark Jarvis, along with their spouses Ken and RaeAnn, since the camp opened in July 2021.

Mark’s background goes well beyond pet ownership. He’s a retired police detective and K-9 handler with more than 19 years of experience working alongside and training dogs professionally. That foundation informs how we approach safety, behavior, and care every single day. General Manager Chelsea Scantlin has been with the Sandy location since it opened, and her leadership has been central to how the camp has grown.

Giving Back Through the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation

Camp Bow Wow established the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to support dogs who need help the most. The Foundation provides urgent medical care funds for homeless dogs and for pets whose owners can’t cover unexpected veterinary bills. It also partners with shelters and rescue organizations to fund necessary medical treatments for dogs awaiting adoption.
