Dog Day Care in Marrero, LA

Structured, All-Day Play for West Bank Pups

Marrero pet parents have had limited options for dog day care: app-based sitters, home-based care, or driving across town to a facility. Camp Bow Wow is the structured, facility-based solution for the Jefferson Parish West Bank, offering climate-controlled play yards, Certified Camp Counselors, and Live Camper Cams that home-based care simply can’t match. We call it CampLife. It’s built around one goal: your dog can go home happy and tired.

Every day at camp combines supervised group play, Dog Enrichment activities, and individualized attention into one all-inclusive experience. Dogs get the physical exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation they need, and you get a pup who’s ready to relax by the time you pull into the driveway.

Ready to get started? Schedule your dog’s free Camper Interview or claim your Get Your First Day Free offer by calling us at (877) 700-2275. We’re ready to welcome your Marrero pup to the pack.

Why Marrero Pet Parents Choose Camp Bow Wow

Home sitters can walk your dog. App-based platforms can send someone over. What they can’t offer is spacious play yards, temperament-matched play groups, and a team of Certified Camp Counselors trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and first aid, all under one roof.

Our Certified Camp Counselors supervise every play session, redirect behaviors like rough play or excessive barking, and give each Camper the individual attention they deserve. Dogs are grouped by size, temperament, and energy level, so play stays safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Here’s what’s included with dog day care at Camp Bow Wow:

  • All-inclusive pricing: Playtime, potty breaks, and individual attention with no hidden fees
  • Live Camper Cams: Check in on your dog from any device during camp hours
  • Certified Camp Counselors: Trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and first aid

The team at Camp Bow Wow brings that same framework to the West Bank, with the warmth of a local crew that genuinely loves dogs.

Schedule Your Dog’s Free Camper Interview

Every new Camper starts with a free Camper Interview: an assessment of your dog’s temperament, play style, and comfort in a group setting. There’s no commitment, and you’ll get a brief report from our Certified Camp Counselors on how your pup adjusted. After the interview, first-time Campers can take advantage of our Get Your First Day Free offer to experience a full day of CampLife at no cost.

Dog Enrichment & Add-On Services

CampLife goes beyond open play. Our Dog Enrichment activities are designed to challenge your dog mentally and physically throughout the day because a tired brain is just as important as tired legs.

Enrichment Activities
Campers can participate in agility play, puzzle toys, and guided play sessions tailored to each dog’s energy level and personality: a stimulating, varied experience rather than hours of unstructured running.

Training Programs
Reward-based training covers basic obedience and behavior for dogs at every level. Whether your pup is learning the fundamentals or working through a specific habit, our training programs pair naturally with a regular daycare routine.

Grooming Services
Baths and grooming are available as add-ons to daycare or boarding visits. Combining grooming with a camp day means one trip handles everything: a real convenience for busy pet parents.

Health & Safety Requirements for Campers

Our requirements exist to protect every dog in the pack. Before your dog’s first visit, here’s what you’ll need to have in order.

Vaccination Requirements
All Campers must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper (DHPP) vaccinations. Bordetella is especially important for dogs spending time in group settings, and our vaccination policy supports a healthy camp environment.

Spay & Neuter Policy
Dogs seven months and older must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare or boarding. This is a standard safety practice in group play environments that can help reduce hormone-driven tension between dogs.

Temperament & Health
All dogs must be in good health and friendly with other dogs. This isn’t just a formality. It’s how we work to create a safe, enjoyable experience from day one.

Free Camper Interview
Every new dog completes a free Camper Interview before their first day: no charge, no commitment. It helps confirm your dog is comfortable with group play and helps us place them in the right play group from the start. After the interview, first-time Campers can take advantage of our Get Your First Day Free offer.

Our play yards are cleaned and sanitized daily with pet-safe products, so every dog arrives to a fresh environment each day.

Dog Daycare FAQs

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow is here to help!

  • Yes, Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs attending daycare to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s also recommended that dogs receive the Leptospirosis vaccine annually, as it can be deadly and spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects dogs from four serious and contagious illnesses: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs continue booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion usually given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all dogs attending daycare at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog daycare, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.

    • Camp Bow Wow understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.
    • For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or daycare services at Camp Bow Wow.
    • As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all Campers and is not advised for open play environments.
  • Dogs staying overnight can be dropped off anytime that day during Camp hours. We suggest arriving before 4 p.m., so they can play, eat, and play again before bedtime. While you can check your pup in and out anytime during Camp hours at no additional cost, we do request you pick them up 15 minutes before closing, so we can tuck in our Overnight Campers.

  • This measure is to ensure the safety of all our Campers. Dogs can become possessive of toys, which can cause an altercation. If small pieces are torn off or broken off, a dog could choke or swallow and cause an obstruction.

  • You can view the free live webcams on the Camp Bow Wow website via your computer, tablet, or mobile device. We also invite you to download our iPhone or Android app to easily access the cameras from anywhere. The cameras are on during business hours when the pups are at play. Many locations offer luxury suites with 24/7 access to the suite’s webcam.

Watch Your Dog Play with Live Camper Cams

One of the first things Marrero pet parents notice is that they don’t have to wonder how their dog is doing. Live Camper Cams give you a real-time view of the play yards during camp hours, accessible from your computer or mobile device.

The Camp App is available on iPhone through the App Store and on Android through Google Play. Through the app, you can watch your Camper in action, customize their profile, and request reservations, all from wherever your day takes you.

For first-time daycare users or pet parents with dogs who struggle when left alone, being able to actually see your dog playing and settled can make a real difference. It’s the kind of transparency that home-based care simply can’t offer.
