What Dogs Experience During Daycare & Overnight Boarding
Dog daycare can give your pup daytime exercise, social interaction, and mental stimulation that may be harder to provide when staying home alone. At Camp Bow Wow New Orleans, supervised group play is the core of every visit. Play groups are organized around each dog’s size, temperament, and energy level to support time with compatible companions. Our Camp Counselors monitor every group, provide individual attention, and introduce enrichment activities to keep dogs engaged and appropriately stimulated throughout the day.
Dogs in group-care settings benefit from structured rest periods alongside active play. Our Camp Counselors watch for signs of fatigue or overstimulation and adjust accordingly to help dogs manage their energy throughout the day.
For overnight stays, boarding dogs settle into cozy Cabins at the end of each day and receive a nightly Campfire Treat. Boarding stays include full access to daytime play, so dogs can participate in daytime play during a multi-day stay. Whether your dog is joining us for a few hours or several nights, the experience centers on supervised play, dog socialization, and attentive care.

We just did the introduction meet and greet, and we’re now back for our second day. They have a nice starter package for, I think, $80 or maybe $88. I don’t remember, for a three-day package, which includes a bath, I believe. So far we’re enjoying it. Every new Camper must complete a free interview day before their first daycare or boarding stay. This first visit gives our team a chance to see how your dog responds to handlers, other dogs, and the group-play environment, and it gives your pup a chance to get comfortable with us. To get started, submit your preferred date and time and our staff will call to confirm the final booking.
Reservations are recommended for daycare and required for boarding. For boarding stays, plan to bring your dog’s food, medications, and any comfort items from home. Sharing feeding schedules, medication details, and any relevant behavior notes before an overnight stay helps our Camp Counselors follow your dog’s care instructions. Health & Group-Play Requirements
To support a safe environment for dogs in our care, all Campers must meet a few straightforward requirements before joining the pack.
Dogs must meet the following requirements:
Dogs must be in good health and friendly with other dogs.
Current vaccinations are required: Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP.
Dogs seven months and older must be spayed or neutered.
Vaccination requirements help reduce preventable health risks in a shared dog-care environment where dogs are in close contact throughout the day. The required free interview day helps us assess whether group play is appropriate. A dog that isn’t comfortable in group play may need a different care arrangement, and the interview day helps us identify those needs before daycare or boarding. Dogs that pass the interview and meet all health requirements are cleared for daycare and boarding.
Multiple-dog discounts are available, and boarding rates can be provided upon request.
Grooming and baths can be added to any daycare or boarding stay and can reduce the need to schedule a separate appointment elsewhere. Dog training and enrichment programs are also available through us, making it straightforward to handle daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, and training in one place.
