Why Families Choose Our Camp
Local dog parents choose Camp Bow Wow Mountain View because we treat their pups like part of our own pack. When you drop off for dog day care, families in the area appreciate that dogs enjoy all-day open play instead of long stretches in a kennel. Pups can romp, chase, and socialize in our spacious indoor and outdoor areas while our team keeps a close eye on the fun.
Our certified Camp Counselors are in the play yards with the dogs, not watching from afar. They are trained to read body language, encourage good manners, and step in when a pup needs a break. This hands-on approach helps create a safe, upbeat environment where dogs can just be dogs and pet parents feel comfortable going about a busy day.
Safety starts before your dog ever joins a play group. Every new Camper goes through a screening process, including a behavior assessment and vaccination verification. This screening helps us build compatible play groups and reduces the risk of conflicts. It also gives us a chance to get to know your dog’s personality so we can help them settle in.
We also know that cost and surprise add-ons can be a real concern. That is why we offer all-inclusive pricing for our day care services, with no hidden fees for the basics of play, attention, and care. You know what to expect when you book, and you can focus on picking up a happy, tired pup rather than an unexpected bill.
Transparency matters, so we offer web cameras that allow you to check in on your dog from your desk or between meetings in the city. Many pet parents tell us that being able to peek in during the day helps them feel connected to their dog, even when they cannot be together.
What Your Dog’s Day Looks Like
When you arrive at our Camp, our team greets you and your pup at check-in. We confirm any notes for the day, then guide your dog into the play area that fits their size and personality. From there, your Camper joins friends for a full day of supervised fun and structured breaks.
In our indoor and outdoor yards, dogs enjoy plenty of room to explore, chase toys, and practice their social skills. Our Camp Counselors are in the play spaces to keep things safe and upbeat. They watch how dogs interact, help new Campers warm up, and make sure play stays friendly. Pups who love to be active can stretch their legs, while more reserved dogs have space to hang back until they feel comfortable.
Rest is as important as play. Throughout the day, we build in quiet times so Campers can recharge. This balance helps prevent overstimulation and keeps the mood relaxed. Puppies, seniors, and shy pups may get extra breaks, which we adjust based on how they are feeling that day. Our goal is for every dog to leave content, not exhausted or overwhelmed.
Many dog parents in the area build Camp into their routine. Some drop off on the way to offices nearby, then swing by in the evening to pick up a pup who has enjoyed a full day of activity. Whether you visit a few times a week or only on your busiest days, we work to make each visit consistent and comfortable for your dog.
Here is a simple look at a typical Camp day:
- Morning arrival and a warm welcome from our Camp Counselors
- Joining the right play group based on size and temperament
- Supervised indoor and outdoor play with toys and friends
- Scheduled rest breaks so pups can relax and recharge
- Afternoon play sessions followed by pickup, and a happy, tired dog
Throughout the day, you can check in on your Camper through our web cameras. Many parents like to take a quick peek during lunch or between meetings, especially when their dog is new to Camp. Seeing your pup playing or napping calmly can make a busy day feel a little brighter.
How We Keep Play Safe
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Before any dog joins group play, we complete a Camper interview to learn about their history, energy level, and comfort with other dogs. We also review vaccination records and basic health information as part of our effort to keep our Campers as healthy as possible.
Based on what we learn, we place dogs into play groups that match their size, play style, and temperament. For example, small or gentle dogs are not placed with rowdy, high-energy players. This grouping helps pups relax and connect with friends who are a good fit, whether they are playful extroverts or more easygoing companions.
Our Camp Counselors stay inside the play yards to supervise interactions and guide dogs throughout the day. They watch for signs that a pup may need a break, help redirect rough play, and support shy dogs as they build confidence. Our team receives training in dog behavior and safe handling so they can respond quickly and calmly when needed.
The facility itself is designed with safety and cleanliness in mind. We follow regular cleaning routines and monitor our indoor and outdoor spaces for hazards. Floors, play equipment, and cabins are checked and maintained, and we work to keep the environment fresh and comfortable for our Campers.
A few of the safety steps we take include:
- Camper interviews and behavior assessments before group play
- Vaccination verification as part of our intake process
- Play groups arranged by size, temperament, and play style
- Camp Counselors present in play yards at all times
- Ongoing cleaning and monitoring of our indoor and outdoor areas
For added peace of mind, our web cameras let you see how we care for your pup in real time. Watching dogs interact calmly under careful supervision often reassures parents who are trying group day care for the first time. We know you are trusting us with a member of your family, and we take that trust seriously.
More Perks of Choosing Our Camp
Our day care is just one part of the full Camp experience at Camp Bow Wow Mountain View. When your dog feels comfortable here, it becomes easier to plan overnight stays when you need to travel. Our cozy cabins give pups a familiar place to rest, and they can spend their days in the same play yards they already know.
We also offer grooming and training at Camp, which helps busy dog parents in Mountain View save time. Instead of juggling appointments at different locations, you can arrange for a bath, nail trim, or training session during or around your dog’s day with us. Keeping everything in one trusted place simplifies your routine and keeps your dog’s care consistent.
Many families appreciate that their dog builds long-term relationships with our team. When the same Camp Counselors greet your pup, guide them into play groups, and tuck them into cabins for boarding, your dog benefits from a familiar environment. That continuity can be especially comforting for sensitive or first-time Campers.
Whether you need support a couple of days a week or during occasional busy seasons, we strive to be a reliable partner in your dog’s care. Our focus on exercise, socialization, and rest means your dog experiences Camp as a place they are excited to visit instead of somewhere they simply wait for you to return.
Getting Started With Day Care
We work to make starting day care at Camp Bow Wow Mountain View simple and welcoming. The first step is to reach out so we can answer your questions, talk through your dog’s needs, and help you schedule a Camper interview. From there, we walk beside you through each step until your pup is ready for regular Camp days.
During the interview and evaluation day, our team observes how your dog feels in the environment and around other dogs. We introduce them slowly, give them breaks as needed, and keep you informed about how they are doing. Many dog parents find that the evaluation gives them and their dogs a gentle, confidence-building start.
Our Camp is conveniently located for families who live or work nearby, which helps make drop-off and pick-up part of your normal commute. If you have specific timing needs, we encourage you to talk with us so we can explain how our schedule typically works and help you plan visits that fit your day.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you make sure my dog is safe in group play?
We start with a Camper interview and evaluation to see how your dog does around others. Then we place them in a play group that matches their size and temperament. Camp Counselors stay in the yards at all times to supervise and give breaks when needed.
Can I watch my dog while they are at Camp?
Yes, you can check in on your pup through our web cameras during the day. Many parents like to peek in from work or while traveling. Seeing your dog playing or resting calmly often makes it easier to focus on your own schedule.
What if my dog is shy or has a lot of energy?
We adjust our approach based on your dog’s personality. Shy pups get gradual introductions and extra encouragement, while high-energy dogs benefit from supervised play and planned rest times. Our goal is to help each dog feel comfortable and leave Camp content.
What is included in the price for day care?
Our day care pricing is designed to be all-inclusive for standard play and care. This typically covers supervised group play, attention from our Camp Counselors, and rest breaks. We are happy to explain pricing details up front so you know exactly what to expect before booking.
How tired will my dog be after a day at Camp?
Most dogs go home comfortably tired after a full day of play and rest at Camp. We balance activity with downtime so pups do not get overstimulated. Many parents notice their dogs are relaxed and ready to cuddle in the evening after spending the day with us.

Dog Daycare FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Mountain View is here to help!
-
Yes, Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs attending daycare to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s also recommended that dogs receive the Leptospirosis vaccine annually, as it can be deadly and spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects dogs from four serious and contagious illnesses: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs continue booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion usually given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all dogs attending daycare at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog daycare, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.
- Camp Bow Wow understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.
- For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or daycare services at Camp Bow Wow.
- As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all Campers and is not advised for open play environments.
-
Dogs staying overnight can be dropped off anytime that day during Camp hours. We suggest arriving before 4 p.m., so they can play, eat, and play again before bedtime. While you can check your pup in and out anytime during Camp hours at no additional cost, we do request you pick them up 15 minutes before closing, so we can tuck in our Overnight Campers.
-
This measure is to ensure the safety of all our Campers. Dogs can become possessive of toys, which can cause an altercation. If small pieces are torn off or broken off, a dog could choke or swallow and cause an obstruction.

You can view the free live webcams on the Camp Bow Wow website via your computer, tablet, or mobile device. We also invite you to download our iPhone or Android app to easily access the cameras from anywhere. The cameras are on during business hours when the pups are at play. Many locations offer luxury suites with 24/7 access to the suite’s webcam.
