COVID-19 Lead to a Surge in Adoptions
With more people than ever working from home, pet adoptions soared during the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Washington Post reported earlier this year that shelters, non-profit rescues, private breeders, and pet stores saw more consumer demand than there were dogs to fill it. Some rescuers were even reporting dozens of applications for individual dogs.
Between the joy a dog brings during difficult times and people having more time to train their dog, it’s no surprise that the number of pet parents in America is at an all-time high.
Camp Bow Wow Celebrates the Grand Opening of Several Camps
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Camp Bow Wow continues to open new locations and help pet parents across the country adapt to their new way of life. Camp Bow Wow Oak Creek, Waco, and New Lenox are just a few of the many Camps that opened this year.
One of the many reasons for our continued success has been the release of new technologies and resources that are designed to better and more safely serve our customers, pups, and communities.
“[Camp Bow Wow] rapidly debuted a secure, contactless system that eliminated the need for face-to-face payments with an online format for financial transactions, as well as introduced a digital Camper application,” officials said in a statement referring to the COVID-19 pandemic.
