Ways Your Camp Can Give Back During the Holiday Season

Golden Retriever Wearing Santa Hat

With dog owners traveling to friends and family’s houses for the holidays, winter is one of Camp Bow Wow’s busiest times. That being said, our franchisees still find plenty of time to stop and reflect on all they’ve accomplished and the many ways they can use their success to make a positive impact on their community.

If there’s one thing the holidays are focused around, it’s giving back — giving back to the community, giving back to Campers, and giving back to pet parents. If you want to spread some holiday cheer this year, we’ve got a few paw-fect ideas.

Collect Donations

Dog shelters in your area and struggling dog owners can always use a helping paw. Set up donation boxes at your Camp entrance and encourage dog owners to drop off food and new or gently used toys and leashes. You can also offer customers an incentive to donate, like a free or discounted class.

Donate a Percentage of Your Profits

Not sure what your local animal shelter needs? Donate a small percentage of your profits and let them spend it how they see fit! You can also get customers involved by asking for donations or raffling off additional classes or services.

Sponsor a Local Charity Event

If you don’t have the time to volunteer, you can still support your community by sponsoring a charity event. From holiday-themed charity runs to toy donation events, there are plenty of ways to give back this season.

Support the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation

Camp Bow Wow has always been committed to giving back to animals in need. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation® is a non-profit organization through which we promote the happiness and health of our furry family members in need. Lend a helping paw and donate to the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation this holiday season!
