It’s the most wonderful time of the year — and for our Camp owners, it’s also the busiest. If you’ve been chasing your tail trying to find time to plan your annual howl-iday party, don’t fret just yet. There’s still plenty of time left to plan the paw-fect party, and we’re here to show you how.
Step 1: Determine the guest list.
This should be fairly easy since typically, holiday parties are all paws on deck. Your guest list should include all of your employees, and if you’d like, their spouses, too. You may even want to throw an invite out to their kids and the furry members of their family, as well. After all, every great holiday party needs a Santa Paws (or several!).
Step 2: Find the paw-fect venue & set a date.
This might be the trickiest task of them all. In fact, you may find you’ll have to push your paw-ty until after the holidays. Don’t worry, though! There’s no shame in that. Actually, if you wait until after all the hustle and bustle is through, your staff will likely be more inclined to attend and enjoy the festivities.
Step 3: Figure out the food.
What’s a party without some good chow? Check your local area for affordable catering options that can be enjoyed by all. And don’t forget to take dietary needs into consideration when you’re stocking up on treats.
Step 4: Retain ways to romp.
You need entertainment and activities! Might we suggest a raffle, a holiday grab bag, live music and some fun dog-themed party games for the little ones? While you’re at it, prepare a small ceremony to award superlatives to your staff. If you’re really in the spirit, have a dog treat baking contest, too.
Step 5: Start barking about it!
Once your planning is through, it’s time to get the word out. Make sure your staff and their families have been notified. Send invitations and post the party information in the lobby and break rooms for all to see.
