Camp Bow Wow takes absolutely great care of my dog Charlie. Charlie can be timid and protective, but all of the employees know to give him space and to let Charlie come to them when he's comfortable. After having some distrust and care issues with PetSmart's Day Camp, we decided to try Camp Bow Wow.
Right from the start the employees were super helpful and friendly on the phone. They set up an interview with my pupper Shadow for the next day.
Upon walking in they asked if my dog's name was "Shadow" before I could say anything, which tells me they care to know who's walking in the door.
After meeting Shadow in the lobby, they informed me that I can watch him on the monitor as he is introduced to the other dogs.
They then took him into the back so they could slowly introduce him to the pack. It was awesome to see him open up and immediately make a new friend.
They ended up keeping my boy for about 3 hours until they did the one thing that PetSmart never did, which was actually call me to let me know that something had happened.
Turns out Shadow got so excited playing with all his new friends that he bit his own tongue, which is very common for dogs to do. I love how the staff immediately called me to let me know what had happened and that they were doing what they could to provide him first aid.
It's awesome to know that there are trained staff on site that can take care of an injury when it happens.
Thanks again for the smooth process, and I know Shadow can't wait to come back. Thank you for also looking after his injury and notifying me right away.

We Can’t Recommend Them Highly Enough
We were worried we would never find a place willing to board our dog, as he can be aggressive toward other dogs on walks and we avoid dog parks altogether. Camp Bow Wow was willing to give him a chance, even when we weren’t very hopeful it would work.
Remarkably, after just a couple of visits (which Camp Bow Wow generously did not charge us for) he began to relax and loosen up around other dogs. Now he’s genuinely excited to be dropped off overnight. We’re amazed watching him on their live cameras calmly walking around with twenty or so other dogs. It’s like he’s a completely different dog when he’s there.
The staff are incredibly friendly and always make our dog feel special when we drop him off. We feel truly fortunate to have Camp Bow Wow and their amazing team available to us and can’t recommend them highly enough.

A blessing to find this place
I've been taking my rescue dog to Camp Bow Wow on Galindo in Concord for about 3 years. The fact that I am writing another positive review, after so much time, is testimony to CBW's reliability and to the continued, dependable, friendly, and informed care of my dear pooch. I have no worries about leaving him there. The folks there make sure all the dogs that keep him company will not be a danger to him, either medically or behaviorally. When I first took him there, he was scared to go. Now, he runs into the attending counselor's arms. What a blessing it has been to find this place, these people.

First time here for my 3 dogs (youngest is 7 months old and oldest is 9 1/2), and all came back exhausted and happy. The staff was really nice and drop-off and pick-up went smoothly. I picked this place due to the cameras and felt comfortable with how they evaluated each dog ahead of time. They spent 3 hours total prior to the booking in the interview process and a thorough amount of time to see if they would adjust well. I appreciate this so they can deny any aggressive dogs.

Rosie has been going to Camp for about three years now. She loves it there. Loves the staff and has made camp friends with some of the pups. It eases my mind knowing she is someplace safe and she is happy and having fun while I am at work.
Camp has helped socialize and calm her healing spirit. I rescued Rosie as a pup from a pretty horrible situation in which she lived in a dark kennel. She had no confidence and no trust.

Highly recommend. Finally got to go on a family vacation but couldn't bring our dog. Was nervous about leaving him 2 nights, but knew he'd be in great hands here. Was so nice to be able to see him on the cameras using the app on our phones. Paid for the PlayPal enrichment and was well worth it! We received lots of photos of our dog and he looked so happy playing with the Camp Bow Wow crew. Thank you for taking care of our boy Ryder. We left our Rock at Camp Bow Wow while we went on vacation—and honestly, I think he had the better time! The staff treated him like royalty (or at least a very spoiled camper), and he came home happy, clean, and just tired enough to let us enjoy some post-vacation peace and quiet. (Update March 11, 2025 - My dog continues to enjoy his time at Camp Bow Wow. He is older now and does not play that much but enjoys being around staff members and other dogs. He is a people dog, so the friendlier the staff, the more he enjoys. Baseball season is coming up, so he will have more play days too.) I can tell my dog Willie likes going to Camp Bow Wow. He pulls me in the front door. All the staff members have been super friendly. You can see your dog play via their cameras and also see how much staff cares in giving dogs attention and keeping the facility clean for their canine guests. Georgia, the manager, took care of our boarding situation. She is a pro who cares about doing things right. I don't travel often, but when I do, boarding at Camp Bow Wow will be my first choice. I often go to sporting events since my daughter coaches, and I will be getting a play days package for play when I am gone all day. I am a retired person looking for p/t work, so when I find a position and if gone all day, will take Willie to play. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard. Michael H.
