Camp Bow Wow has trustworthy, animal-loving staff who make sure your pet has a PAWsitive experience while you're away. I really appreciate their services. I use Camp Bow Wow to give my young dog the opportunity to socialize with other dogs for a few hours a week. Our dog can stay home alone when my husband and I are at work, but I like that she can have a day or two per week to interact with other dogs instead of staying home alone. This was most important when she was a puppy, as we wanted her to develop social skills and do well around other dogs. This has paid off, and our 15-month-old dog is not fearful or aggressive towards other dogs, but curious and happy to meet them. I do wish the establishment were larger, and the dogs had more space to run and play, but the building size is not something Camp Bow Wow can really control. If there were more space, it would be great if the outdoor area had more permanent climbing structures, tunnels, or even trees for the dogs to play on and around (just sharing this in case there is an opportunity to move locations). This is one reason why I only drop off my dog for a few hours a day, though. There is not much for the dogs to do if the appeal of being around other dogs diminishes. They end up just standing around or sitting in one place, which defeats the purpose of getting exercise and socializing. However, this could be great for someone who just wants their dog supervised while they are at work. For an additional cost, you can add 15 minutes of one-on-one playtime with the staff, during which they take your dog into a different area to play with them or provide treat-puzzles (your choice). If your dog is there for more than a couple of hours, they will likely get taken into a large, individual, crate-like structure for downtime or a nap. This is a nice option for dogs who have a long day and are showing signs of being tired, but I personally try to avoid having my dog there long because I want her to get exercise and socialization. She has severe anxiety outdoors in urban areas and is too fearful to go on normal walks so for me, Camp Bow Wow is a way to give her stimulation, exercise, and doggy fun that doesn't cause her great stress. The staff are great and will tell you about your dog's day when you pick them up. I love when they greet my dog with a friendly greeting or share stories with me about her because it makes me feel like they are really getting to know her, and I really appreciate that, especially since she has severe anxiety and I know she is not the easiest pup for others to build a relationship with. I like that they have cameras, too, that you can always watch and see your pup having fun!

I really enjoyed seeing my new pup on the live stream both in-house and on their app. It was cool to see him interact with all the other dogs and have some peace of mind that he was doing well. The staff were professional and friendly. The grounds seemed clean, although I didn't get a tour of the facility, albeit I didn't ask for one.

Our dog has been going to Camp Bow Wow for several years now, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. The staff truly loves the dogs and it shows in how attentive and welcoming they are every time we come in. Whether it’s daycare, grooming, or an overnight stay, we always know she’s in great hands. When we pick her up she’s happy, well cared for, and if we request a bath or grooming she always looks fantastic. It’s clear the team here treats every dog like family. We’re grateful to have a place we trust so completely. Highly recommend Camp Bow Wow to any dog owner looking for a safe, caring, and professional environment.

Camp Bow Wow takes absolutely great care of my dog Charlie. Charlie can be timid and protective, but all of the employees know to give him space and to let Charlie come to them when he's comfortable. I'm so happy we found Camp Bow Wow as it helps Charlie socialize and is a valuable option for daycare and boarding.

After having some distrust and care issues with PetSmart's Day Camp, we decided to try Camp Bow Wow. Right from the start the employees were super helpful and friendly on the phone. They set up an interview with my pupper Shadow for the next day. Upon walking in they asked if my dog's name was "Shadow" before I could say anything, which tells me they care to know who's walking in the door. After meeting Shadow in the lobby, they informed me that I can watch him on the monitor as he is introduced to the other dogs. They then took him into the back so they could slowly introduce him to the pack. It was awesome to see him open up and immediately make a new friend. They ended up keeping my boy for about 3 hours until they did the one thing that PetSmart never did, which was actually call me to let me know that something had happened. Turns out Shadow got so excited playing with all his new friends that he bit his own tongue, which is very common for dogs to do. I love how the staff immediately called me to let me know what had happened and that they were doing what they could to provide him first aid. It's awesome to know that there are trained staff on site that can take care of an injury when it happens. Thanks again for the smooth process, and I know Shadow can't wait to come back. Thank you for also looking after his injury and notifying me right away.

We Can’t Recommend Them Highly Enough Jan 2, 2026

We were worried we would never find a place willing to board our dog, as he can be aggressive toward other dogs on walks and we avoid dog parks altogether. Camp Bow Wow was willing to give him a chance, even when we weren’t very hopeful it would work. Remarkably, after just a couple of visits (which Camp Bow Wow generously did not charge us for) he began to relax and loosen up around other dogs. Now he’s genuinely excited to be dropped off overnight. We’re amazed watching him on their live cameras calmly walking around with twenty or so other dogs. It’s like he’s a completely different dog when he’s there. The staff are incredibly friendly and always make our dog feel special when we drop him off. We feel truly fortunate to have Camp Bow Wow and their amazing team available to us and can’t recommend them highly enough.

I've been taking my rescue dog to Camp Bow Wow on Galindo in Concord for about 3 years. The fact that I am writing another positive review, after so much time, is testimony to CBW's reliability and to the continued, dependable, friendly, and informed care of my dear pooch. I have no worries about leaving him there. The folks there make sure all the dogs that keep him company will not be a danger to him, either medically or behaviorally. When I first took him there, he was scared to go. Now, he runs into the attending counselor's arms. What a blessing it has been to find this place, these people.

First time here for my 3 dogs (youngest is 7 months old and oldest is 9 1/2), and all came back exhausted and happy. The staff was really nice and drop-off and pick-up went smoothly. I picked this place due to the cameras and felt comfortable with how they evaluated each dog ahead of time. They spent 3 hours total prior to the booking in the interview process and a thorough amount of time to see if they would adjust well. I appreciate this so they can deny any aggressive dogs.

Rosie has been going to Camp for about three years now. She loves it there. Loves the staff and has made camp friends with some of the pups. I rescued Rosie as a pup from a pretty horrible situation in which she lived in a dark kennel. She had no confidence and no trust. Highly recommend. Finally got to go on a family vacation but couldn't bring our dog. Was nervous about leaving him 2 nights, but knew he'd be in great hands here. Was so nice to be able to see him on the cameras using the app on our phones. Paid for the PlayPal enrichment and was well worth it! We received lots of photos of our dog and he looked so happy playing with the Camp Bow Wow crew. Thank you for taking care of our boy Ryder. We will be back again for play dates and more overnight stays. Very reasonable pricing and the staff is always so kind and helpful.

We left our Rock at Camp Bow Wow while we went on vacation—and honestly, I think he had the better time! The staff treated him like royalty (or at least a very spoiled camper), and he came home happy, clean, and just tired enough to let us enjoy some post-vacation peace and quiet.
