Our Covington facility includes both indoor and outdoor play areas where dogs can run, romp, and socialize throughout the day. When it’s time to rest, dogs settle into cozy cabins designed for comfort during overnight stays. That balance of activity and downtime is built into the Camp model intentionally: a dog that plays hard and rests well can go home content.
Our Camp Counselors monitor pups throughout the day, supporting healthy energy levels and positive interactions. Every dog’s day is shaped around exercise, socialization, and rest, with attention to helping them leave Camp relaxed and ready to come back.

We used Camp Bow Wow in New Orleans and didn’t like what we got, so we resisted trying the Covington location even though it’s right down the street from our house. That said, we finally tried it! Group play works best when every dog in the yard is a good match for the environment. That’s why we use a Camper screening process before any dog joins daycare or overnight care at our Covington location. Rather than applying a blanket exclusion policy, we assess each dog individually, looking at how they respond to other dogs, to new spaces, and to the group setting.
If we observe something during the screening that suggests a modification would help, we may recommend a different playgroup size, training support, or another accommodation. Our Camp Counselors provide ongoing supervision throughout the facility, and Live Camper Cams let you check in on your dog any time from your phone or computer. Transparency is part of how we earn your trust.
What to Expect Before Your Dog’s First Visit
Before your dog’s first daycare day or overnight stay, a free Interview Day assessment is required at our Covington location. This step lets us see how your dog responds to our open-play environment and helps us determine whether the setting is the right fit. It’s also your opportunity to share care instructions, health details, feeding schedules, and any medication directions we should have on file.
