We Love to Hear from Carmel Happy Campers

The staff at Camp Bow Wow Carmel are courteous and professional. I really appreciate how welcoming and attentive they are with both pets and owners. One of my favorite features is the webcams. It gave me so much peace of mind to check in on my fur baby throughout the day and see that she was safe, happy, and well cared for. It’s clear that they truly care about the pets in their care, and that makes all the difference.

After over a year of sending our pup, Bowie, to Camp Bow Wow in Carmel for doggy daycare and occasional boarding, we truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From day one, the team has been warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about the dogs in their care.

Bowie absolutely loves it—when we ask, “Do you wanna go to daycare?” he bolts downstairs and heads straight to the car, tail wagging the entire time. It’s become one of his happiest routines.

Beyond the fun and play, Camp Bow Wow has done something really special for our dog: they’ve helped him learn that humans can be trusted. The staff’s kindness and consistency have built a sense of safety and confidence in Bowie that we’re so grateful for.

I can NOT say enough wonderful things about Joseph, Justin and the other staff members at Camp Bow Wow Carmel!!! I am very protective of my little Boston Terrier Bonnie, she's 1 1/2 years old and has her own agenda most of the time. I was shown around the facility before scheduling daycare for her and felt very confident with management and how clean and well run it is. She went to daycare twice and then stayed over night last night. This was her first time away from us since we got her and she is used to snuggling with Mommy. Joseph called to update me on how she was doing, after talking to him my mind was set at ease for the rest of the evening, I knew she was in good hands. Yes I am a protective dog mom. I love the fact that they have the Pup Cam so you are able to see them playing outside and inside and interacting with the other dogs. Staff is always with them to make sure everyone is playing nice. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!!!! Bonnie loves you all!

Our dog LOVES coming to Camp Bow Wow. The excitement we see in him when we arrive to drop him off really shows how much they care for the animals. I’ve never seen a dog so happy to get out of the car and run inside a place! We love the personal attention our dog receives, the emailed updates with photos, and the fabulous baths and grooming services that are available. Highly recommended by us.

I was recommended getting my Corgi some more stimulation by taking him to Camp Bow Wow on the office days where I wouldn’t have time to visit him at home. I’ve been taking him here for a few months now and it’s done WONDERS for him. The staff are wonderful and even have gone out of their way to help make my Corgi comfortable when he was having paw pain. I can’t say enough about this place - if your dog likes to socialize, camp bow wow is so worth it! (they run deals a lot) My lil guy is always so excited to go there and nearly busts through the door of my car trying to get in whenever we pull up to drop him off.

A staff member I want to highlight in particular is Justin - the trainer. Admittedly I was skeptical about how much a day care trainer could really help beyond teaching a few tricks, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. In just a couple of months, Justin has worked wonders with my Corgi. He would really struggle with leash reactivity and general manners on the leash. Now, he walks much more calmly at my side and his threshold for reactivity has considerably decreased. Justin’s work at camp and efforts to document training sessions over video has made training at home easier and more effective. Over time, utilizing Justin’s lessons and working with scooter has really strengthened the bond between me and my pup - truly all a dog parent could want. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, always eager to grow, and genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. Seeing the way my corgi lights up at the sight of Justin in all videos he shares with me, it’s clear his trainees are loved and cared for. He’s a standup guy and his impact on the quality of life shared between my corgi and I cannot be overstated!

Camp Bow Wow Carmel has been GREAT for our dog, Jedi. He came in timid and scared of just about everything, but thanks to the incredible care and training he's received—especially from the amazing trainer—he’s truly come out of his shell. He’s now going on pack walks, building confidence, and getting much-needed socialization. Everyone at Camp Bow Wow genuinely cares about the pets they work with, and Jedi absolutely loves them. We absolutely love Camp Bow Wow and all the people that work here!! Joseph has been so lovely and welcoming to Ace, as well as all the staff. They answer all my million questions! Our mini bernedoodle, Ace, looks forward to coming every week and gets so excited. We especially love working with Justin on the play and train option! We have been consistent with making sure he works with Ace on leash walking and helping him get more comfortable with passing walkers and other dogs on the trail! Ace is improving every week and we are so happy with his training. Justin is exceptional and we love seeing the videos he sends us of Ace’s progress. We would recommend Justin, the training option, and the whole company as a whole to anyone. We have such a peace of mind knowing Ace is happy and having fun at a safe, clean, and welcoming day camp!!!

We've been working with a dog trainer here, Justin. He has been amazing with our dog, Ozzy! We rescued a weimaraner who we discovered was reactive towards any person or dog. With Justin's help, Ozzy can now walk by people and dogs without any reactivity. We've even been able to have him meet new people in the house. Justin has also helped with teaching Ozzy how to walk with a loose leash. I would highly recommend Justin if you are looking for a trainer. We have learned so much from him in just a few sessions.

I can’t say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow and their incredible staff. As the owner of a dog with emotional scars—from previous trauma, I’ve been blown away by the patience, compassion, and skill they’ve shown. They’ve never rushed Jerry into interactions; instead, they let him warm up to them at his own pace, which has made all the difference.

The training and support he’s receiving are helping him truly thrive. Their genuine concern is unmatched—my sister and I even have a running joke that I’ve received more calls of concern about my dog from Camp Bow Wow than she’s ever received from her kids’ schools. That level of care speaks volumes.
