While crates or traditional kennels are a fine option at home, we know our dog cabins are the safer and more comfortable option for boarding pups. Cabins are more secure and in a separate area away from the play yards so it truly is a space for dogs to decompress after a day of play. Our Cabins also provide the extra space for pups to have some of their own bedding or toys with them, allowing them to have some familiarity from home while boarding with us.
Daily Routines
At Camp, we have daily schedules to make sure your dog has a fun day with friends, mental stimulation and rest. The consistency in this routine helps in reducing the stress that might come in the boarding process.
A daily routine for boarding dogs at Camp typically looks like:
Wake up early for a potty break
Eat breakfast and rest in their Cabin after eating
Rest breaks after eating are important to reduce the risk of bloat. Bloat is a serious condition and can be caused by playing, jumping, running, etc. too soon after eating. For this reason, rest is part of the daily routine anytime a dog eats a meal or snack.
Socialize and play with friends in the play yards for a couple of hours in the morning
Eat lunch or snack if instructed by pet parents and rest after eating
Go back out to the play yards for the afternoon
Return to Cabin to eat dinner and rest
Go out to the play yards for a final potty break before bedtime
