We absolutely love having Camp Bow Wow
We absolutely love having Camp Bow Wow as an outlet for our dog Stevie Ray to socialize and have an activity that has him squealing with joy when he gets there. We like being able to take him there if it's raining, too hot, or too cold to get him outside for exercise, or any other time he needs something to do. He's a Cattle Dog and needs lots of activity to keep his "working dog" brain satisfied. The fact that we can check in on him through the day on the camera feed is fantastic. The other thing that we love is the fact that there are other locations throughout the country that you can use when traveling without having to get him re-vetted to qualify to take him there because his vaccinations and records are transferable.
We have been very pleased with the staff friendliness and kindness at the West Des Moines location. One other point we like is that most of the time we are able to take him there on a drop-in basis without a reservation, except for the major holidays and spring break.

Camp Bow Wow Is More Than Daycare
Camp Bow Wow has been an incredible source of support for our family. I recently brought home two puppies and needed help about once a week. The onboarding process was easy and seamless, and from day one, the staff made everything feel welcoming and reassuring. Dropping off Lothar and Leena each morning gave me complete peace of mind.
Tragically, we lost Leena, and during that difficult time, Lothar stopped eating. The compassion and care shown by the Camp Bow Wow team went above and beyond—they supported us through the transition to becoming a one-dog family and even hand-fed Lothar to make sure he was nourished while he was grieving. I was very worried about him, so I increased his attendance to ensure he had consistent care, comfort, and social support while he healed.
I am deeply grateful for the kindness, patience, and genuine love the staff showed during such a painful time. Camp Bow Wow is more than daycare—it’s a community that truly cares about the dogs and the families they serve. 💛

I took my husky/German shepherd, Kai Caner, there and they took such good care of her. It almost looked like she doesn’t wanna leave at pickup. I loved that I can see live video of my puppy having the time of her life. It seemed like she never had a dull moment there.

My 13-year-old girl Weezie had a recent boarding stay, and I have nothing but great things to say! I booked their luxury suite to view her on the live cameras and viewed staff hand-feeding her food and medication. Wow! I also got to see her extra snuggle times through photos throughout her stay to see how she was doing. I knew my Weezie was in good hands when they offered her extra break time in her cozy room with her special bed and blanket due to her age. We will be bringing her back for any future vacations!

They are extremely accommodating and really know my dogs (and me) well! I was worried because one of my dogs has a chronic injury, but they were able to help me manage his pain and text me while I was on vacation with updates, double-checking if I wanted his extra pain reliever to be given. I just can't say enough good things about sending my pups to camp! I haven't been on vacation in a year and didn't worry at all about the dogs. Thank you SO much for caring for them so well!

BEST dog boarding/day camp place I’ve ever been to. I’ve been to 3+ places in the area. Most places make everything look super fancy on the outside and spend a ton of money on decor and advertising. What makes this place is the STAFF and the LOVE inside the facility which is exactly what you want. They care deeply for my dogs, I’ve NEVER dealt with anyone in the entire facility who was less than exceptional with service. Every time I’ve had a sudden change in plans they are more than accommodating, kind, and always make it right if the charges don’t make sense.
We’ve been going to CBW for 4 years and every experience with boarding, doggie daycare has been the best. My dogs were very scared and shy and warmed up quickly, with staff's help, love, and assistance. Every person knew my dogs no matter how infrequently we came.
When our beloved Lou passed, we hadn’t been there for a few months due to his health issues, and they gave us beautiful flowers and a card with all the love from staff that was poured into it ❤️.

Camp Bow Wow in WDS is amazing! We love the staff (Hi Emily!), our pup LOVES going there (he knows the days that he goes. He wakes us up at 7 AM, runs downstairs, goes right to where we keep his Camp Bow Wow collar and sits by the door. Cutest thing ever 🥰). It’s so clean that when you walk in you would never know it’s a doggie day care. They offer baths and nail clipping, which is huge for us, along with a lot of great fun programs for the pups to participate in. The staff treats your pup like it was their own. We also love that we can check in on him at any time during his time there. That’s a great peace of mind ♥️
