Our Rochester Team

  • Lee Owner
Lee and Dana moved back to Rochester from North Carolina in the early 2000s. When they lived in North Carolina, the state was a doggy paradise. Dog parks, Dog Day Cares, Dog Trails, you name it, NC was super dog friendly. Lee and Dana were surprised that Rochester on the other hand, was lacking in the Doggy Fun Department. They felt that their Rhodesian Ridgeback, Amber had gotten the "short end of the stick" in their move to Rochester.
Seeing a business opportunity, Lee and Dana decided to open a Dog Day Camp and Boarding Facility where dogs could really enjoy themselves while their loved ones were away. Lee and Dana were so excited to start the adventure of opening a new business together and it was icing on the cake, that their new business would majorly benefit their furriest friend, Amber!

Amber spent her winters at camp instead of going crazy with Cabin Fever at home, and she spent her summers playing with her friends in the Camp Pools. Lee and Dana watched Amber and many other Campers turn into mature responsible adult dogs and they were so proud. Amber doesn't come to Camp anymore, but Dogs from all around Rochester travel to Camp so they can do something FUN while their parents aren't home.

Finish this sentence... my rapper name would be: Woof Master P.

What is your favorite dog pun: I don't believe in puns. They bite.

What is your favorite part about Camp: I like seeing a staff member do something better than I can do. I really love watching people blossom and grow.

  • Kate Camp General Manager

I have had the pleasure of being with Camp Bow Wow for over 10 years, wow does time fly! Learning and growing with the business brings a lot of variety and challenges, which not only help you to develop as a person, but also as a leader. I love my role because no two days, or dogs are ever the same.

As a leader, I strive to lead in a way that honors my personal core values of respect, authenticity, trust and accountability. Some of my proudest moments are when employees grow their confidence levels; whether that may be taking on a new area such as customer service, making a new bond with a team mate, or succeeding in behavioral challenges with the dogs. With that being said, it’s also my favorite to see the pups build their confidence in the yards as well!

When not at work, I enjoy digging in the dirt with my indoor plant collection, playing with my two dogs, trying out a new sewing project, or dabbling in other art projects all while listening to quite an eclectic music selection.

  • Amanda Operations Manager

My favorite joke: Q:What do you call a dog who does magic? A: a labra-cadabra-dor!

I really enjoy anything and everything arts & crafts. I am big on crochet right now.

I find the value of kindness to be the most important. You never know what someone has going on, so it is important to always strive to be kind and assume the best intentions of others.

  • Shea Senior Team Lead

I'm a Music Education major at Nazareth University with my end goal being to become a Band Teacher.

I very much enjoy playing music! I mainly play flute, alto saxophone, and tenor saxophone, but I also love learning new instruments.

  • Molly Senior Team Lead

I majored in Childhood Development. My long term goal is to one day own my own animal rescue service.

Fun Fact: I can complete the 3x3 rubix cube!

Being a good listener is what I value. Not only is it good to be a good listener in everyday life, but with work as well. If parents need to talk to us about a concern or just need to talk, then we need to show that we care by listening. Also, the ability to accept constrictive criticism is important to listen to, so you can better yourself and grow.

When not working & questing, you can find me reading, playing music, and chasing my delightful (and hilariously  naughty) young dog around.

I try to engage in life with an open heart, curiosity and a sense of wonderment and awe. May seem simple and naive, but then, I get to hang out with kids and puppies, so I think it's working out!
