We Were Very Happy With Our Decision Apr 29, 2026

We relocated to Durham, NC from out of state and needed a place for our dog to have occasional boarding and play day outings. We chose Camp Bow Wow from a Google search and were very pleased with our choice. The staff was very pleasant to deal with, explaining their policy that a new "camper" needs to pass a free orientation visit prior to any boarding or daycare play. I'm sure you will be pleased how friendly, respectful, and caring the staff is dealing with your pet and/or answering any questions. I was impressed watching on CCTV how our "camper" was introduced with others as well as monitoring once home how the interactions with others took place. The facility is clean and well maintained. Security for any meds is available as well as having the staff deal with any special needs while there. Again, we were very happy with our decision to use Camp Bow Wow.

Camp Bow Wow in North Durham Is Absolutely the Best! Apr 29, 2026

Camp Bow Wow in North Durham is absolutely the best! Our Yorkie goes there for daycare, and he loves it. We had a good feeling about the place the minute we walked in for the first time. The staff is friendly, caring, and so affectionate and attentive with the animals. The facility is clean, and I love the camp cams so we can see what Augie is up to! Highly recommend!

Camp Bow Wow is the best! Our Yorkie, Augie, goes there for daycare, and he loves it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and so affectionate and attentive to their campers. We have no worries about dropping our baby off at Camp Bow Wow. I would highly recommend!

They Go Beyond Just Meeting a Need Apr 15, 2026

We cannot recommend Camp Bow Wow high enough, and especially this North Durham location. We have taken our dogs there for years, and the dogs have always been so excited to go. Recently, we were boarding 2 of ours, and we got a call from camp that our older Golden Retriever, Runner, was not acting like himself. First of all, the fact that they know how he normally acts says a lot about the care that they demonstrate for those in their care. As we were out of town, they told us that they would just keep a close eye on him and keep him up front, but we got another call not very much later that they really felt that he needed to be seen by the vet. We made arrangements for our son to come and pick him up, and sure enough, Runner was not himself at all, as our son had to carry him out to the car. At the vet, they learned that he had ruptured his spleen, likely the result of a fast-growing cancer tumor that we did not even know he had, and he had to be put down at 13.5 years old. When we informed Camp Bow Wow, they grieved with us and gave extra special attention to our other dog, Dash, that we were boarding with them. When we got home and picked up Dash, they gave us a card that they had made, and many of the staff wrote notes, and you could tell from what they wrote how they really knew Runner. They go beyond just meeting a need. They meet a need with care and compassion. Thank you, Camp Bow Wow!
