We Were Very Happy With Our Decision
We relocated to Durham, NC from out of state and needed a place for our dog to have occasional boarding and play day outings. We chose Camp Bow Wow from a Google search and were very pleased with our choice. The staff was very pleasant to deal with, explaining their policy that a new "camper" needs to pass a free orientation visit prior to any boarding or daycare play.
I'm sure you will be pleased how friendly, respectful, and caring the staff is dealing with your pet and/or answering any questions.
I was impressed watching on CCTV how our "camper" was introduced with others as well as monitoring once home how the interactions with others took place. The facility is clean and well maintained. Security for any meds is available as well as having the staff deal with any special needs while there. Again, we were very happy with our decision to use Camp Bow Wow.

Camp Bow Wow in North Durham is absolutely the best! Our Yorkie goes there for daycare, and he loves it. We had a good feeling about the place the minute we walked in for the first time. The staff is friendly, caring, and so affectionate and attentive with the animals. The facility is clean, and I love the camp cams so we can see what Augie is up to! Highly recommend!

They Go Beyond Just Meeting a Need
We cannot recommend Camp Bow Wow high enough, and especially this North Durham location. We have taken our dogs there for years, and the dogs have always been so excited to go. Recently, we were boarding 2 of ours, and we got a call from camp that our older Golden Retriever, Runner, was not acting like himself. First of all, the fact that they know how he normally acts says a lot about the care that they demonstrate for those in their care. As we were out of town, they told us that they would just keep a close eye on him and keep him up front, but we got another call not very much later that they really felt that he needed to be seen by the vet. We made arrangements for our son to come and pick him up, and sure enough, Runner was not himself at all, as our son had to carry him out to the car. At the vet, they learned that he had ruptured his spleen, likely the result of a fast-growing cancer tumor that we did not even know he had, and he had to be put down at 13.5 years old. When we informed Camp Bow Wow, they grieved with us and gave extra special attention to our other dog, Dash, that we were boarding with them. When we got home and picked up Dash, they gave us a card that they had made, and many of the staff wrote notes, and you could tell from what they wrote how they really knew Runner. They go beyond just meeting a need. They meet a need with care and compassion. Thank you, Camp Bow Wow!

Our 1 1/2-year-old Golden Retriever, Henry, absolutely LOVES North Durham Camp Bow Wow, and so do we! The staff is the BEST – always friendly and super sweet with him. Henry loves day camp and boarding. I love that you can go to video cams and check on how your dog is doing, which is always fun to see how happy my Henry is!
I love the fun enrichment activities that they offer so Henry can get some one-on-one time as well. When they send pictures from enrichments during boarding, he is all smiles, having so much fun and getting lots of love and attention! I also love the monthly seasonal photo shoots you can pay for and a portion is donated to the Durham APS – absolutely cutest pics and helping the Durham APS – that’s a WIN-WIN!
Camp Bow Wow has been the stimulation and fun that Henry craves! When we say the word “Camp,” he comes running to the door and is super excited to go! Henry plays hard and then comes home and sleeps hard! I highly recommend North Durham Camp Bow Wow for all your doggie daycare and boarding needs.

Love Camp Bow Wow! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Every day I drop off Bubba, I know she is well taken care of. And when we go on vacation, I have no worries at all.
Their 15-minute packages—“Snuggle Time,” “Sniff and Find,” and “Good Old One-on-One Playtime”—are fantastic! They even include pictures and a message, which I love.

Camp Bow Wow treats my dog Wiggle Butt like she’s part of their own family. The staff literally shout her name when she walks through the door, she wiggles with pride every time. When we pull into the parking lot, she starts shaking with excitement and leaps over me to get out of the car. We're still working on that whole training thing. 😅 She loves daycare so much. When I pick her up, she’s thoroughly exhausted in that happy, “I played ALL day” way, still wiggly, still smiling, and always healthy. I have complete peace of mind leaving her here knowing she’s in such loving, attentive hands. As an overly cautious dog mom, that means the world to me.

We’ve used BowWow for two dogs with great success, the first for most of his 14 years. Last year, we adopted an adult female standard poodle who had never experienced dog daycare and playtime with other dogs. The first couple of visits, she was terrified, convinced she was being abandoned. The caretakers pitched in with play and attention, pairing her with excellent playmates. Now she loves it and is thriving! It’s clean, safe, requires health certification for campers, pets get lots of attention from caretakers who love dogs, and I highly recommend it!

Can't say enough good things about this place. From opening early on weekdays, to having cameras for when you're missing your fur baby, to absolutely amazing staff. We recommend Camp Bow Wow to everyone. All the staff are so caring, communicative, and helpful. Our dog has a special bond with Brian and gets so excited to see him whenever he gets to go to daycare. 100/10 would recommend!

He Absolutely Loves It
My dog Apollo (puppy, soon to be 1) goes to camp here and he absolutely loves it! When I watch him in the yards, he is playing hard with his friends and he’s a big fan of the hose! When he’s ready to go home, he’s tired and day care does the exact job we’re looking for, to get the little guy tired while at work so he can sleep well and do it all again the next day!

I’ve put my 8-month-old puppy just once so far but loved it and will be a regular for us! They give dogs naps out of the yards, which is so nice!! And also, the timing is awesome, can drop off as early as 6:30 a.m. (perfect for my 7 a.m. job start) and pick up as late as 7:30!! Pricing is 👌🏼 And the cameras are awesome, saw my baby getting lots of pets from the staff! Thank you Camp BW!!

Wow. My dog Winnie just had her first overnight stay here and I can't speak highly enough about the caring staff, amazing facility, and joy my dog experienced. I enrolled at Camp Bow Wow after learning that my previous boarding facility had changed their care model without any notice to their customers. At the interview visit, I was impressed with the communication and care demonstrated by the staff. I just picked my pup up from her first boarding stay, and she is happier (and more exhausted) than ever. I think I chose the right place.
