Dog Day Care in Metairie

A Balanced Day of Supervised Play, Socialization, & Rest

Dogs need more than a place to wait while their families work, commute, or manage a busy schedule. A structured daytime routine offers physical activity, social interaction, mental stimulation, companionship, and time to rest under attentive supervision.

Our Metairie Dog Day Care combines open-play activity in indoor and outdoor areas with calmer periods throughout the day. Camp Counselors monitor the group and care for each dog according to their comfort in the play environment.

Benefits of Structured Daytime Care

Many dogs thrive on a routine that keeps them active, engaged, and connected with people and compatible playmates. Day care gives your pup companionship and activity instead of spending a long day alone at home.

A balanced Camp routine may offer several practical benefits:

Provides regular exercise that can support physical fitness
Creates opportunities for positive interaction with dogs and people
Offers structured activity and companionship during long days away from home
Balances active play with calmer periods so dogs have time to recharge

Dependable daytime care can make it easier to give your dog consistent activity and attention during workdays and busy schedules. Younger dogs and high-energy breeds may appreciate appropriate ways to use their energy, while social dogs can enjoy supervised time with compatible playmates.

Supervised Open Play for Metairie Dogs

At Camp Bow Wow^®, Camper screening, trained supervision, and ongoing monitoring support safer group play. Every dog completes a Camper Interview before joining the group. Campers must also be spayed or neutered and current on required vaccinations, including those outlined in our Bordetella policy.

Our Camp Counselors supervise dogs in indoor and outdoor play areas and receive training in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid. They watch group dynamics, redirect play when necessary, and provide individual attention when a dog needs reassurance or a break.

Pet parents who choose New Orleans Airport can use our live webcams to check on their dogs from a computer or mobile device. This visibility lets families see how their pups spend time at New Orleans Airport while they’re apart.

We offer all-inclusive pricing with no hidden fees for standard care. In addition to Dog Day Care, families can choose boarding, grooming, and enrichment services based on their dogs’ needs.

Our team is available at (504) 474-8336 to answer questions about Camper screening, group play, and preparing for Camp.

What Your Dog’s Day at Camp Looks Like

Your dog’s day begins with a warm welcome from our team before joining a compatible play group based on size and temperament. Dogs move between active sessions in our indoor and outdoor yards and quieter rest periods in comfy cabins. This balanced rhythm gives them time to recharge instead of remaining active all day.

Throughout their stay, dogs receive fresh water, affection, and supervised activity. We also watch how each pup responds to the group, offering extra encouragement, individual attention, or a break when needed. This thoughtful routine helps first-time and nervous dogs become comfortable with the Camp environment at their own pace.

Dog Day Care can be part of a broader care routine that includes boarding or grooming. Whatever brings your pup to Camp, we focus on safe socialization, attentive supervision, active play, and appropriate rest.
