Dog Boarding Near Mid-City New Orleans

Why Local Families Choose Our Boarding Near Mid-City New Orleans
Many pet parents in the Mid-City neighborhood juggle busy schedules, late shifts, or frequent travel. They often want more than a basic hotel where dogs spend most of the day in runs. That is why our dog hotel near Mid-City New Orleans, focuses on all-day play and personal attention instead of short exercise breaks.
At our Camp, dogs spend the day in spacious indoor and outdoor play areas with compatible groups. Our Camp Counselors stay in the play yards, guiding interactions and watching body language so play stays fun and safe. This approach helps burn energy, reduce boredom, and keep social dogs engaged while you are away.
When it is time to rest, pups relax in cozy cabins with plenty of room to stretch out. We work to create a true home-away-from-home, with a predictable routine that helps many first-time boarders settle in. Our goal is for your dog to come home tired, content, and excited to return.
We also keep pricing simple and transparent. Boarding includes all-day play, not just a few short outings. We use all-inclusive rates with no hidden fees for basic care, which means you know what to expect when it is time to pick up your Camper.
How Overnight Dog Boarding Works At Camp Near Mid-City New Orleans
It helps to understand exactly what your dog’s stay will look like. Our process for overnight dog boarding is designed to be clear and predictable so you can focus on your trip instead of worrying. We start by getting to know your pup, then build a routine that balances exercise, social time, and rest.
Before a dog joins our group play, we complete a Camper interview and evaluation. During this visit, our team learns about your dog’s personality, behavior around other dogs, and comfort level in a new setting. This helps us place your pup in the right play group and make boarding smoother for everyone.
On the day of drop-off, we confirm your dog’s feeding schedule and any special instructions you provide. We follow your guidance on food portions, treats, and any medications you send, and we keep your dog’s cabin and belongings labeled so everything stays organized. Our check-in process is structured to be quick yet thorough, which is especially helpful when you are trying to get on the road or to the airport.
Once your dog is checked in, they join supervised play yards where they can explore, run, and meet new friends. We build in regular breaks so dogs can recharge between active sessions. In the evening, our team settles dogs into their cabins with fresh water and comfortable bedding, then continues to monitor the facility while they sleep.
Here are a few helpful things to bring for your dog’s stay:
- Your dog’s regular food is in labeled, portioned containers
- Any medications with clear written instructions
- A sturdy collar with ID tags and a leash
- A favorite small blanket or toy from home, if your dog finds that comforting
This simple checklist helps your dog feel comfortable and helps our team follow your routine as closely as possible during their boarding stay.
Safety, Comfort, & Supervised Play
Safety is at the center of how we run Camp every day. Our Camp Counselors stay in the play yards with the dogs, which means they are actively watching play and stepping in to guide interactions when needed. We look for positive body language, healthy play styles, and signs that a dog might need a break or some quiet time.
Our Camper screening process helps set the tone for safe and happy play. By meeting dogs in advance and learning how they interact with others, we can group Campers by size, temperament, and energy level. This kind of thoughtful grouping is especially important for longer stays, since dogs spend several days and nights sharing space and routine.
Clean, comfortable environments matter just as much as supervision. We maintain our indoor and outdoor areas with regular cleaning and ongoing facility monitoring. Our goal is for your dog to enjoy fresh air, secure fencing, and climate-controlled indoor spaces that help keep them comfortable in typical New Orleans weather.
For added peace of mind, we offer web cameras that allow you to check in on your Camper during play. Many pet parents tell us that seeing their dogs running and relaxing with friends helps them relax, too. When you can watch your dog enjoying our dog boarding service near Mid-City New Orleans, boarding starts to feel less like a worry and more like a treat for your pup.
A Day & Night at Camp Bow Wow
It often helps to picture what your dog’s actual day will look like. Imagine your pup arriving at Camp in the morning, tail wagging as they head into the lobby. After a quick goodbye to you, they join their play group, greet familiar friends, and start exploring the yards with our Camp Counselors nearby.
Throughout the day, play sessions and rest periods create a steady rhythm. Some dogs chase toys and play tag, while others trot around greeting new buddies or lounging in the shade. We build in nap times so Campers can recharge, since rest is just as important as fun for a successful boarding experience.
As evening approaches, energy naturally settles. After one last play period, dogs enjoy their dinners based on the schedule you provided. Our team then guides each Camper to their cozy cabin, where they can curl up in a clean, comfortable space. Many pups fall asleep quickly after a full day at our Camp in this central part of New Orleans.
If you want extra convenience, you can often plan grooming or training sessions during your dog’s stay, depending on schedule availability at Camp. That means your dog might finish their doggie boarding near Mid-City New Orleans not only happy and tired, but also freshly bathed or with new training skills started. When you pick up your pup, our goal is for you to see a relaxed, content dog who is glad to see you and ready for a quiet evening at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you decide which dogs play together?
We use a Camper interview and evaluation to learn about each dog’s size, temperament, and play style. Based on that, we place Campers in groups that match their energy level and comfort. Our Camp Counselors monitor interactions and can adjust groups or give breaks if a dog needs downtime.
Is playtime included in the boarding price?
Yes, all-day supervised play is part of our standard boarding experience. We use all-inclusive pricing, so your dog’s time in the play yards is not an extra charge. This way, you know your dog is getting exercise and social time without surprise add-on fees for basic fun.
What if my dog has never boarded before?
Many dogs stay with us for the first time, and we take that seriously. Our Camper interview helps us understand your dog’s comfort level and needs. We introduce new Campers thoughtfully, follow familiar routines as much as possible, and watch for signs that a pup might need extra reassurance.
What should I bring for my dog’s stay?
We recommend bringing your dog’s regular food, any medications with written instructions, and a collar with ID tags. A small blanket or toy that smells like home can help some dogs relax. We provide the rest, including cabins, water, and plenty of playtime during their boarding stay.
How can I check on my dog while I’m away?
Our web cameras let you see your Camper during play, which can be very reassuring. You can log in and watch your dog enjoying time with friends or relaxing between activities. If you have specific questions, you can also contact our team for updates about your pup’s stay.

Mid-City New Orleans FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Mid-City New Orleans is here to help!
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
