Why Our Dog Hotel Near Lakeview Is Different
When you look for a dog hotel near Lakeview, you are not just comparing buildings. You are comparing how your dog will spend every hour of their stay. At our Camp, dogs enjoy open play in spacious indoor and outdoor areas instead of being limited to brief walks or short play sessions.
Our fun-loving Camp Counselors are in the yards with the dogs, not watching from a distance. They encourage healthy play, keep an eye on body language, and give plenty of affection. This hands-on approach helps keep playgroups safe and helps even shy pups have friendly support as they settle in.
We also believe pet care should be simple to understand. Our pricing is transparent and all-inclusive, so you know what is covered during your dog’s stay. You are not met with surprise charges for basic playtime, attention, or extra snuggles. Our goal is for you to feel as relaxed about the details as your dog feels after a full day of Camp.
Because we are part of the community, our Camp is designed around the way people here live and work. Whether you are heading to the office, catching a flight, or taking a weekend away, our schedule and routines are set up to make drop-off and pickup as easy as possible.
Overnight Dog Boarding Experience
When you choose overnight dog boarding near Lakeview at our Camp, you are choosing a full Camp experience, not just a place to sleep. Boarding pups join our regular daycare groups, which means they play, romp, and socialize throughout the day instead of sitting in a run waiting for the next outing.
A typical day starts with morning check-in and greetings from our Camp Counselors. After a quick transition into their playgroup, your dog spends the day in supervised indoor and outdoor play areas, with built-in breaks for meals and rest. We pay attention to each dog’s energy level and comfort, so they get a healthy mix of activity and downtime.
In the evening, Campers head to their cozy cabins. Each cabin gives your dog a comfortable personal space where they can unwind. We work to create a calm atmosphere at bedtime so pups can settle after a big day. Many dogs curl up and fall asleep quickly because they are happily tired from all the fun.
Throughout their stay, you can peek in on your pup using our web cameras. Watching them trot around with new friends or resting contentedly often gives pet parents the reassurance they want, especially during a first stay. When you return, you can typically expect a dog who is both content and ready for some couch time at home.
If you are looking for doggie boarding near Lakeview that feels like Camp, this is what you can look forward to. Your dog gets to enjoy their own routine, complete with friends, play, and rest, while you get to keep your schedule without worry.
How We Keep Campers Safe
Safety is one of the biggest concerns for families thinking about group play. We understand that, and we build our entire approach around keeping dogs comfortable and protected, from the first evaluation to every play session.
Before a dog joins open play, they go through our Camper screening process. This includes a careful look at behavior and personality so we can understand how they behave around other dogs and people. We use that information to place them in appropriate playgroups and to make sure our environment is a good match for them.
During the day, our Camp Counselors supervise playgroups and guide interactions to keep things positive. They watch for signs of fatigue, overstimulation, or discomfort and give dogs breaks when needed. Our play areas are designed for secure, controlled fun, with separate spaces that help us group dogs thoughtfully by size or play style.
Cleanliness and comfort are part of safety, too. We follow consistent cleaning routines and work to keep cabins, common areas, and play yards fresh and inviting. This helps create a healthy environment where dogs can relax and focus on having fun.
Our safety foundation includes:
- Camper screening that helps us understand your dog before group play
- Supervised playgroups with Camp Counselors in the yard with the dogs
- Secure indoor and outdoor areas designed for safe romping and rest
- Structured routines that balance exercise, socialization, and breaks
As a dog boarding company near Lakeview that families trust, we take this responsibility seriously. Our goal is for you to feel confident that your dog is in good hands every time they visit Camp.
Boarding Services & Add-Ons
When your dog stays with us, boarding includes much more than a spot to sleep. Pups who board enjoy the same open-play environment as our daycare Campers, which means they get to socialize, exercise, and explore throughout the day.
Our core boarding service includes all-day play in our indoor and outdoor yards, supervised by Camp Counselors who know the dogs by name. Mealtimes and rest periods are built into the day so your dog maintains a steady rhythm that feels familiar and comfortable.
Many pet parents also appreciate the option to pair boarding with other services. During a longer stay, you might choose to schedule a grooming appointment so your pup comes home clean and fresh. Training sessions may be available to help reinforce good manners and give your dog extra mental engagement while they are here.
We keep pricing straightforward, so you understand what is included in your dog’s boarding stay and what counts as an optional add-on. This transparent approach helps you plan and prevents surprise charges at pickup.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a typical day like for my dog?
Your dog spends the day in supervised indoor and outdoor play yards with compatible Campers. We build in time for meals and rest, so they are not playing nonstop or sitting alone for long stretches. By evening, most pups are happily tired and ready to relax in their cabins.
How do you help nervous or first-time boarders?
We introduce new Campers slowly, starting with Camper screening and calm meet and greets. Camp Counselors watch closely, offer reassurance, and give shy dogs time to warm up. Our goal is to match each dog with the right playgroup so they can build confidence at their own pace.

Have questions? Camp Bow Wow Mid-City New Orleans is here to help!
-
Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
