Why Weld County Pet Parents Choose Us for Dog Boarding

Pet parents evaluating dog boarding near Weld County tend to want the same things: staff who actually know dogs, a facility they can see into, and pricing that doesn’t surprise them at checkout. Here’s how we approach each of those concerns.

  • Open-play environment: Dogs enjoy interactive group play that supports canine socialization and exercise throughout their stay. We also offer dog day care near Weld County for shorter visits.
  • Certified Camp Counselors: Our team continuously monitors all play areas and is trained in animal care and behavior tailored to each dog’s needs.
  • Low dog-to-counselor ratios: Your dog gets personal attention throughout the day, not just at feeding time.
  • Consistent daily routines: Regular meal times, play schedules, and rest periods give dogs the structure that can help them adapt more comfortably away from home.
  • All-inclusive pricing: We believe in transparent, all-inclusive pricing with no hidden fees. Food, playtime, and care are all covered, so you can budget with confidence and avoid surprise charges at pickup.

On-Site Grooming to Pair with Your Dog’s Stay

One practical advantage of choosing Camp Bow Wow Longmont for overnight dog boarding near Weld County is that grooming is available right on-site. Rather than scheduling a separate salon drop-off, your dog can head home clean and comfortable after their boarding stay. Our groomers are trained to work patiently with anxious animals, so even dogs that aren’t fond of bath time often do well in their hands.

Safety & Monitoring at Camp Bow Wow Longmont

A dog hotel is only as good as its safety systems. We layer multiple protections so every dog in our care is accounted for and every pet parent stays informed.

  • Camper screening process: Every dog is assessed for temperament and health before joining our social play environment, protecting your dog and every other Camper in the group.
  • Climate-controlled facility: We maintain comfortable temperatures year-round, which matters during Weld County’s hot summers and cold winters alike.
  • Live Camper Cams: Log in anytime from your smartphone, tablet, or computer to see your dog in action. Access our live webcams whenever you want to check in.
  • Staff trained in canine first aid: Camp Counselors are trained to handle pet health situations, so your dog is in capable hands if a concern arises.
  • Vaccine requirements: All boarding dogs must be current on the DHPP vaccine (Distemper, Hepatitis/Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus). The Leptospirosis vaccine is also recommended annually. Dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to participate.

Choosing the Right Dog Boarding Company in Weld County

Finding the right overnight dog boarding option is a meaningful decision. Staff qualifications, daily structure, and how openly a facility communicates its policies all shape how well your dog may adapt and how confidently you travel.

A few useful questions to ask any facility: What is the dog-to-staff ratio? Are staff trained in canine first aid? Is pricing truly all-inclusive? Can you check in remotely? At Camp Bow Wow Longmont, we can answer all four directly. Our Camp Counselors are trained in canine first aid, our all-inclusive pricing covers the full stay with no add-on surprises, and live Camper Cams let you check in from anywhere. Visiting in person before booking also helps you assess play area size, cleanliness, and how staff interact with dogs before the first night is booked.

  • Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.

The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.

Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.

In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
