Account Setup & Camper Interview

You can create an Account through our mobile app (available on iOS and Google Play) or through any web browser using a new or existing email address. Once you’ve signed our Terms and Policies, you can request a Camper Interview directly from your Account.

What Do I Fill Out Before the Camper Interview?
Under “My Profile,” you’ll complete four sections: Camper Details, Health Records, Diet and Medications, and Initial Behavior Info. Finishing these before the interview helps our Camp Counselors prepare and gets your pup through the process smoothly. After registration, you can log back in anytime to review or update your information.

Daycare FAQs

Every new dog must pass a Camper Interview and be current on vaccinations before attending daycare. Dogs over six months old must also show proof of being spayed or neutered. This isn’t paperwork for its own sake. It’s how we work to keep every pup in the play yards safe.

What Vaccines Are Required for Daycare?
Dogs must be current on Bordetella at minimum. Our team can confirm the full vaccine list when you schedule the Camper Interview.

What Does Daycare Include?
At drop-off, our Camp Counselors welcome your dog and place them in a play yard matched to their size, temperament, and energy level. We have climate-controlled indoor play yards and secure outdoor spaces, so play continues regardless of Lexington’s weather. We don’t charge extra for administering medication or accommodating other special requests.

Can Something Go Wrong During Group Play?
Dogs are social animals, and group play is healthy for them. Minor things like small scratches occasionally happen, similar to a kid scraping a knee on a playground. Serious injuries are rare, and our Camp Counselors monitor play throughout the day to support positive interactions.

Boarding FAQs

Overnight boarding at Camp Bow Wow Lexington East includes an individual cabin with a cozy cot and fleece blanket, a nightly Campfire Treat™, all-day daycare play, and live webcam access so you can check in from anywhere. Medication administration is included at no extra charge.

What Vaccines Does My Dog Need for Boarding?
Boarding dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), and Bordetella. The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious canine diseases: distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. We also recommend an annual Leptospirosis vaccine. Additional requirements may apply, so confirm the full list when booking.

Are Any Breeds Excluded from Boarding?
Camp Bow Wow doesn’t discriminate based on breed. That said, local insurance policies or city ordinances can sometimes create restrictions. Contact us to confirm what applies in your situation.

When Should I Drop Off and Pick Up?
We suggest dropping off before 4 p.m. for overnight stays so your dog gets a full afternoon of play. For pick-up, plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before we close.

Training FAQs

We offer group classes, private lessons, and training while your pup attends Camp during a daycare or boarding stay. Our Certified Trainers use reward-based methods, including clicker training, so your dog can learn what to do rather than what to avoid.

When Can a Puppy Start Training?
Most puppies are ready to begin obedience work between 10 weeks and 4 months old. Starting early can help build good habits and strengthen your bond with your dog. Contact us to find out which format fits your pup’s age and temperament.

What Are the Requirements for In-Camp Training?
Dogs participating in training during a daycare or boarding stay must have already passed the Camper Interview. Grooming FAQs

Our grooming services include bathing, nail clipping, and other options such as ear cleaning, brush-outs, and de-shedding treatments. Many families combine grooming with a daycare or boarding stay so their dog heads home clean after a single visit.

Do I Need to Complete a Camper Interview for Grooming?
No. Dogs visiting us for grooming don’t need to go through the Camper Interview process.

What Vaccines Are Required for Grooming?

How Is Grooming Priced?
Pricing is all-inclusive with no hidden fees, and we can explain what’s included before you book. Rates vary based on your dog’s size and coat length. Most dogs benefit from grooming every four to eight weeks, depending on breed and coat type, so regular visits can help keep things manageable.
