Dog Grooming in Montcalm County
Professional Dog Grooming for Montcalm County Pups, Right Where They Play
At Camp Bow Wow, we bring professional dog grooming to Montcalm County pet parents as part of a full-service care experience. Our certified grooming team uses pet-safe products and techniques tailored to each dog’s coat type, temperament, and energy level. Whether your pup is a boisterous puppy or a senior dog who needs a gentler touch, every session is designed to be comfortable from start to finish.
Grooming is about more than a clean coat. Our team observes skin condition, checks ear and paw health, and notes anything that might warrant a vet’s attention. That kind of attentiveness is built into every appointment. Our groomers are experienced and certified, with ongoing training in industry-standard dog grooming practices.

Why Montcalm County Pet Parents Choose Camp Bow Wow for Grooming
Transparent, all-inclusive pricing means you won’t be surprised at pick-up. We don’t charge hidden fees, and we can walk you through what’s included before your appointment begins. For current pricing, give us a call or book online.
Our grooming areas are sanitized between every appointment, and we use modern equipment throughout. Every Camper who visits must be current on vaccinations, keeping the environment healthy for every dog in our care.
Flexible scheduling is one of the biggest advantages we offer Montcalm County families. Grooming appointments can be booked as a standalone visit or combined with a daycare or boarding stay. An exit bath can also be added at the end of a Camp visit, so your furry friend goes home clean without an extra trip.
Pair Grooming with Daycare or Boarding in Montcalm County
One of the real advantages of grooming at Camp Bow Wow is the ability to pair it with daycare or boarding. For Montcalm County pet parents making the trip toward the Grand Rapids metro, combining services into a single visit saves time and eliminates an extra drive. Your pup plays, rests, and comes home clean.
Dogs arriving for a daycare or boarding stay are already in a familiar, social environment when their grooming appointment begins. That familiarity can make the session easier, especially for pups who tend toward grooming anxiety. Our Camp Counselors work with dogs throughout the day and share behavioral observations with the grooming team, so the approach is informed before grooming even starts.
Our groomers are comfortable working with a wide range of breeds, coat types, and temperaments. Large working breeds, small companion dogs, high-energy pups, and dogs who need a slower pace all receive individualized attention. There’s no one-size approach here.
Schedule your Montcalm County pup’s grooming appointment today. Call (877) 700-2275 or reserve a spot online. We can help you find a time that fits your schedule.
Dog Grooming FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow is here to help!
-
An exit bath is a bath scheduled at the end of your dog’s boarding or daycare stay so they go home clean and fresh after all their Camp adventures. We time it close to pick-up so your pup is dry, brushed, and ready for snuggles when you arrive. Just ask to add an exit bath when you book your Camper’s stay.

Most dogs benefit from a nail trim every 3–6 weeks, but it depends on how fast their nails grow and how much they naturally wear them down. If you can hear your pup’s nails clicking on the floor, it’s usually time for a trim. Our groomers can recommend a schedule that keeps your Camper’s paws healthy and comfortable.

Both nail grinding and clipping can be safe and effective when done properly. Clipping quickly shortens the nail, while grinding can smooth and round the edges, which some pups and pet parents prefer. Our team can talk through the options and help you choose what’s best for your dog’s comfort and nail health.

A typical dog bath service includes a gentle shampoo, a thorough rinse, towel and/or blow dry, and a brush-out suited to your pup’s coat. Some Camps may also offer add-ons like nail trims, ear cleaning, or de-shedding treatments. We’ll always let you know exactly what’s included so your pup gets the most out of their bath time.

Many pet parents love adding a bath at the end of a boarding stay or a big day of play so their pup comes home clean, soft, and cuddle-ready. After all that fun in the play yards, a fresh bath can be a nice finishing touch. Let us know at booking if you’d like to schedule a bath so we can plan your Camper’s “spa time” before pick-up.
