Meet our new owners, Tony and Jamie Caruso! We are beyond excited to add Camp Bow Wow Grand Rapids Airport to our Pack, and introduce you to our family! We began the Camp Bow Wow journey when our (now 15-year-old) Vizsla, Abby, needed a safe place to stay, while we were on vacation or away at work. She led us to finding Camp Bow Wow and we knew right away that we had to be a part of this special business, that is filled with tail wags and sloppy kisses!
We opened our first Camp Bow Wow in 2007, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. As time went on, and our family grew, so did our mission. We added a second location in St. Clair Shores (that caters to smaller pups), and two locations in the Springfield, Missouri area. We absolutely love what we do, and are deeply passionate about building relationships with our staff, our local communities, and with our local rescue groups!

As we grow, our mission to offer peace of mind, and a safe, happy environment that is super fun for your furry family members is even more important to us! The Grand Rapids certified team will continue to be dedicated to high-quality care for your best furiend.

We are tremendously excited to be a part of the Grand Rapids community. Thank you for entrusting us and our fabulous team to care for your precious pups!

We are also excited to announce Tony has received his professional certification by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT)!

    Q1
What is your name? Bram Donahue
    Q2
What is your official title at Camp Bow Wow and share which Camp you work at? Camp Bow Wow Grand Rapids Airport
    Q3
In what month and year did you begin working at Camp Bow Wow? January 2020
    Q4
Why did you want to work at Camp Bow Wow? I lived with Charity Stulz (Bella S’ owner) and I was tired of my management at my previous job, so she suggested I work with this company so I applied and here I am!
    Q5
What kind of dog/animal training have you had to help the CBW campers? Before working at CBW my “training” abilities were purely independent and not well developed. Since CBW I’ve gained a lot of knowledge on handling animals and watching behavior. I’ve helped quite a few timid/shy animals come out of their shell (obviously not by myself) and it’s given me a good start to practicing more animals training.
    Q6
What is your favorite part of your job at Camp Bow Wow? The staff for the most part provides a good environment to be around as well as the dogs. I rarely, if ever, feel stressed because of the dogs here, and it’s a good job to keep a stable mindset.
    Q7
Do you have pets at home? Describe them. Name, breed, age, personality? I have a cat and a dog (Marcy and Kif, respectively). Marcy is an American Eskimo dog, about 8 years old, and very *very* sassy. Kif is a domestic shorthair (he’s a barn-cat) and only about a year and a half old. Kif is an actual ball of chaos, we love him, but man oh man is he constantly out for destruction.
    Q8
What do you do in your free time? List Hobbies or anything interesting about you.
For the most part I play video games in my free time. I enjoy doing art but I haven’t out as much time into that as I should. I used to play golf but it’s been harder to go out with Covid and such.
