Every new Camper completes a Camper Interview before joining the play group. It’s a free evaluation that screens for temperament, play style, and group readiness so every dog in the yard belongs there. And while your pup is playing, you can check in anytime via Live Camper Cams from your phone or computer.

All-Inclusive Dog Day Care Pricing in Frederick
Our Day Camp pricing is all-inclusive. What you see is what you pay, with no hidden fees and no surprise charges for medication administration or other special requests. All-day play in indoor and outdoor play yards is included in every visit. If your dog is staying overnight, Day Camp is included at no additional charge.
Families with more than one dog save automatically: the second dog in the same family receives 10% off, and the third receives 15% off. Flexible package options are available for half-day and full-day stays in 5, 10, and 20-visit increments, so you can find a format that fits your schedule.
First Day Free for New Campers
New Campers receive a complimentary full day of Day Camp as part of their Camper Interview, with no processing fees and no application fees. From the day of the Camper Interview, new families also have one week to take advantage of two First Day Special packages: the Basic First Day Special at $79, or the Premium First Day Special at $107, which includes an enrichment session and a bath. Current pricing is shown in the table below.

The Camper Interview
Before joining Day Camp, every dog completes a Camper Interview. It’s a free evaluation that assesses temperament, play style, and group readiness. This isn’t a formality. It helps confirm that every dog in our open-play environment is there because they’re ready for it, which supports the whole group. Dogs are then grouped by size, temperament, and activity level throughout each day so play stays safe and natural for everyone.
Certified Camp Counselors®
Our Camp Counselors are extensively trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and pet first aid. A Balanced Staff-to-Dog Ratio means supervision is continuous and attentive. Counselors watch for signs of illness, stress, and overstimulation, not just manage the room. Snout-to-Tail Assessments at check-in can catch potential health concerns before they reach the play yard.
Health & Vaccination Requirements
All Campers are required to be spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations. Camp Bow Wow Frederick requires the Bordetella vaccine, which is important in a shared open-play environment, and also requires the Canine Influenza vaccine. Learn about our Bordetella policy. The facility, play equipment, water bowls, and toys are cleaned and sanitized daily using pet-safe products.

What’s Included in a Day Camp Visit?
Every Day Camp stay includes all-day access to indoor and outdoor play yards, continuous supervision by Certified Camp Counselors®, play groupings by size and temperament, scheduled rest breaks, and Live Camper Cam access for pet parents. There are no hidden fees. Medication administration and other special requests are included in standard pricing.
How Are Dogs Grouped During the Day?
Dogs are separated into play groups based on size, temperament, and energy level. Groupings are assessed throughout the day and can shift as needed to keep play comfortable and safe for every Camper in the yard.
What Vaccinations Does My Dog Need?
All Campers must be spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations. Camp Bow Wow Frederick requires both the Bordetella vaccine and the Canine Influenza vaccine. If you’re unsure whether your dog is current, your veterinarian can confirm before your Camper Interview.
What Happens During the Camper Interview?
The Camper Interview is a free evaluation day required before a dog’s first Day Camp or boarding stay. There are no processing or application fees. Your dog spends a complimentary full day at Camp while we assess temperament, play style, and group readiness. Many dogs leave happy and ready to come back.
