Celebrate Animal Rights Awareness Week

Across the globe, many animals in facilities such as labs, factory farms, zoos, and circuses are forced to endure horrific treatment at the hand of abusive corporations.

At Camp Bow Wow, the rights and protections of all animals is something we strongly believe in. That is why every June, we celebrate Animal Rights Awareness Week. The goal of this week-long observance is to raise awareness and educate the community about the rights of animals in need across the globe and shed a light on the many efforts to end animal abuse.

How You Can Help This Week

There are many things that you can do as an individual to join Camp Bow Wow in our fight for animal rights this week and in the future.

Donate & Volunteer

If you are financially able, donating to your favorite animal rights charity is a great way to contribute to the cause. If you’d rather get more hands-on involvement, you can donate your time to a local animal shelter or charity!

Whichever route you choose, be sure to do plenty of research about these organizations ahead of time.

Choose Cruelty Free Products

Animal testing is a serious global issue that extends into many products you may have in your home. Before heading to the store, do your research on beauty and cleaning products to ensure that you are only supporting cruelty-free brands.

Go Vegan

If you are ready to make a larger commitment to supporting animal rights, consider adopting a vegan lifestyle for the week. This means you will not consume animals or products of an animal of any kind. If at the end of the week you find you enjoy this change, try making it a permanent commitment!

Spread the Word

Finally, help spread the word about animal rights and the need for an end to animal abuse. Post on social media, tell your friends, pass out flyers — whatever it takes to help the cause!
