Heidi Owner
Background: My first job was working in the Safari at Great Adventure. I loved it so much that I decided I wanted to work with animals all my life. After achieving my Bachelors Degree in Biology, I began working in the Veterinary Sciences field in the Pharmaceutical Industry, where I started as a Veterinary Technician and eventually moved up into a Manager position. After 35 years in the corporate environment I was ready for a change. That's when I found Camp Bow Wow! I loved the concept and so did my dog! Camp Bow Wow gave me the opportunity to work for myself and continue to work with animals all day.
Outdoor activities consume my spare time. I love spending time with my son and friends. I love camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, stand up paddling, riding my quad and skiing.
Additional Skills/Qualifications: I am a Certified Manager of Animal Resources, a Certified Laboratory Animal Technologist and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I've also had Kaizen and Six Sigma training which helps me to keep improving business processes.
Fun Facts
What I love most about my job: I love the fact that I can come to work in the morning and be greeted by lots of happy, healthy dogs that are excited to be at Camp! Listening to a clients' story or looking at a picture of their pooped pup just makes my day!
My Pets: You might think I'm crazy but I love reptiles! I miss my dear Great Dane, Carleigh, who has passed over the rainbow bridge, but I have several snakes and turtles to keep me busy! Most of my reptiles were rescued. Helping animals when they're injured or given up because they can't be cared for properly is where I step in because of the education and experience I have in animal husbandry. I do hope to release some of them back into the wild when they're ready. Otherwise they will live with me and I will give them the best life possible!

Andi has spent her career working at boarding kennels, animal shelters, and in the veterinary field. She spent many years doing behavior modification at animal shelters and as a pet trainer. This has allowed her to work with many behaviorally challenged grooming clients to help the dogs become more comfortable with the grooming process. Also, with her knowledge in the veterinary field, Andi is able to help her clients pick out the best solutions such as special shampoos for skin problems that a dog might be experiencing. In the 10 years, she has been grooming she has formed such special bonds with all of her clients that she thinks of them all like family and their dogs as her own. She always strives to make the grooming experience the best possible for both the client and their pup. When your dog is with Andi they will be her sole focus to provide your dog with the quickest and most comfortable groom possible.
