Background: My first job was working in the Safari at Great Adventure. I loved it so much that I decided I wanted to work with animals all my life. After achieving my Bachelors Degree in Biology, I began working in the Veterinary Sciences field in the Pharmaceutical Industry, where I started as a Veterinary Technician and eventually moved up into a Manager position. After 35 years in the corporate environment I was ready for a change. That's when I found Camp Bow Wow! I loved the concept and so did my dog! Camp Bow Wow gave me the opportunity to work for myself and continue to work with animals all day.
Outdoor activities consume my spare time. I love spending time with my son and friends. I love camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, stand up paddling, riding my quad and skiing.
Additional Skills/Qualifications: I am a Certified Manager of Animal Resources, a Certified Laboratory Animal Technologist and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I've also had Kaizen and Six Sigma training which helps me to keep improving business processes.
What I love most about my job: I love the fact that I can come to work in the morning and be greeted by lots of happy, healthy dogs that are excited to be at Camp! Listening to a clients' story or looking at a picture of their pooped pup just makes my day!
My Pets: You might think I'm crazy but I love reptiles! I miss my dear Great Dane, Carleigh, who has passed over the rainbow bridge, but I have several snakes and turtles to keep me busy! Most of my reptiles were rescued. Helping animals when they're injured or given up because they can't be cared for properly is where I step in because of the education and experience I have in animal husbandry. I do hope to release some of them back into the wild when they're ready. Otherwise they will live with me and I will give them the best life possible!

Skills and Experience
Background: After attending college to study Health and Exercise Science, I began my career in the fitness industry. I was successful but it was not the most exciting job for me. I've been surrounded by animals all my life, wild and domestic. I had cats, dogs, ducks, goats and birds as pets when I was growing up. It was time for a change. I found Camp Bow Wow when they were hiring just before opening in 2009. I'm the only Employee who has been with Camp since it's inception! I love it!
Additional Skills/Qualifications: I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. I'm in charge of training new counselors and overseeing "the back of the house". I continue my education by attending management courses at the local college and attending pet related seminars.
What I love most about my job: I love working in the play yards! I make a game out of practicing gate control by getting all the dogs to sit while I open the gate and let other dogs in. I can make 40 dogs in a yard lie down at the same time! Watching over the dogs in the yards makes the time go by quickly and keeping the energy balanced in the yard is a skill I'm always working to improve on.
My pets: I have a black Labrador Retriever named Pops, a Siberian Husky named Crystal and a mixed breed named Charlie who I adopted from a client!
“My dog is eager to attend, and he comes home tired and happy after hours of play.”
“The patience, individual attention, and customer service of the Camp Bow Wow staff at Cherry Hill is truly terrific.”
“I know my dog is safe and well taken care of in a place she loves.”
“Thanks for easing my sister's worries. It made a difference during our visit.”
