I started working at Camp Bow Wow when I was a sophomore in high school. I am now in my junior year of college at Metro State University. I am going to school to become a Behavioral Therapist for children with special needs.

I have always had a love for animals. This comes from the many years I have spent on my grandparent’s farm. I love learning the different personalities and quirks of each of the pups.

One big thing that has come from working at CBW, is I met the love of my life while working here and we are expecting our second child this summer.

I retired several years ago after working as an executive assistant for over twenty-five years. I knew I didn’t want to stay home, and I wanted to do something that I enjoyed and was completely different than what I had been doing.

With four dogs of my own, I had been a customer of Camp Bow Wow’s for many years. My husband saw an ad that they were looking for someone to do day care. I immediately applied and here I am! I love it here. The dogs are all wonderful and each have different personalities. I have learned so much about how to take care of these precious dogs that have been entrusted to us.

The owners and younger people that work here treat me like family. For me, this is a wonderful benefit. I will always remember the wonderful experience of working at Camp Bow Wow.

I am the dog trainer here at Camp Bow Wow Castle Rock and I absolutely love what I do. I have a business degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and my dog training certifications from Animal Behavior College. I am also a volunteer dog trainer for the Denver Dumb Friends League. In my free time, I love yoga, backpacking, and spending time with my husband. We are expecting our first child this summer. I can't imagine a better gig than being able to train our campers everyday! :)

I guess you can say that much of my life revolves around Camp Bow Wow. You see, I have been working here for almost 12 years now. I am proud to say that a few years ago I was promoted to General Manager. Even though it takes a lot of dedication and hard work, it is a labor of love. I enjoy every minute I am with the dogs and love each of them. The eleven years have flown by for me. They say that happens when you truly love what you do. I am very fortunate to have found the perfect job so early in my career.

I also found something very special at Camp Bow Wow. I met my husband Chris here about ten years ago and were married almost 3 years ago. So Camp Bow Wow has been a blessing to me in so many ways. I am a very lucky lady!

I started at Camp Bow Wow in my sophomore year of high school as a volunteer. That slowly grew into a full time job. I next became a shift lead and enjoyed it so much. After high school I attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in 2014 as a Vet Assistant. I currently work part time at an Emergency Vet Hospital in Highlands Ranch and at Camp Bow Wow Castle Rock as the weekend groomer.

I have one dog, a black lab named Jazzy. She is my queen.

I have always had a passion for animals and this has remained consistent throughout my life. Before moving to Colorado in 2015, I spent two years as one of five student managers at the Earlham College Equestrian Center in Richmond, Indiana. When we moved to Colorado the horses moved with us and I realized I didn't want to work at a different barn while managing the one in my own back yard! After searching for different animal related jobs I happened upon CBW and applied immediately!

Camp Bow Wow has proven to be the perfect job for me (and my rambunctious pups!), I get to spend my days playing with wonderful dogs and other animal fanatics! Throughout my career at CBW I have taken on multiple roles and am excited to take on my newest challenge as Assistant Dog Trainer.
