Dog Day Care Near Braeburn
A Happy, Safe Day Camp for Your Dog
If you spend long days away from home, it can be tough to think about your pup waiting alone. At Camp Bow Wow® West Bellaire, we give dogs in Braeburn a fun, safe place to play so you can focus on your day and come home to a happy, relaxed companion.
We understand how important it is to know your dog is truly cared for, not just watched. That is why our Camp combines open play, attention from caring Camp Counselors, and cozy spots to rest. Every dog who joins us goes through a Camper screening so we can help make group play safe and enjoyable.
You can check in on your pup through our live web cameras during the day. Our goal is to make Camp feel like a home-away-from-home, where your dog can romp with friends while you enjoy real peace of mind.

What Your Dog’s Day Looks Like
When you picture your dog’s ideal day, you probably imagine plenty of playtime, new friends, and some good naps. That is what we work to provide at our Camp for local families. From morning drop-off to evening pickup, we keep your dog’s day structured, engaging, and safe.
Drop-off is designed to be quick and friendly, so you can head toward work without stress. Once your pup checks in, our Camp Counselors guide them into the appropriate playgroup. We consider size, age, and personality so your dog is surrounded by buddies who match their play style.
During the day, dogs enjoy open play in our indoor and outdoor areas. Inside, they can explore play structures, toys, and climate-controlled comfort. Outside, they have room to stretch their legs, sniff around, and enjoy the fresh air while still being closely supervised. We keep groups moving and engaged so pups get the exercise and social time they crave.
Just like people, dogs need downtime to recharge. We build in rest periods so Campers can relax in comfortable spaces and avoid becoming overstimulated. This balance of activity and rest helps dogs stay content, which often means fewer zoomies when they get home and more cozy cuddles with you.
Throughout the day, our Camp Counselors interact with the dogs, not just watch from a distance. They encourage healthy play, redirect rough behavior, and give plenty of affection. By the time you arrive for pickup, your pup has usually enjoyed a full day of fun and is ready for a calm evening at home.
How We Keep Play Safe
Letting your dog play with a group can feel scary if you are not sure how things are managed. Safety is a top priority at Camp, and we have clear processes in place to help keep every Camper comfortable and protected. Our focus is always on safe fun, not just activity for its own sake.
Before any dog joins group play, they go through our Camper screening. We check vaccination requirements, talk with you about their history, and carefully observe how they interact with staff and other dogs. This helps us understand your dog’s comfort level and decide which playgroup is the best fit.
Once your pup is part of Camp, they are never left alone with other dogs without supervision. Our Camp Counselors are certified and trained to read canine body language and manage group dynamics. They guide introductions, watch for signs of tiredness or tension, and separate dogs when someone needs a break.
Our facility is designed with safety in mind, from secure fencing to double-gated entries that help prevent door dashers. We clean and sanitize play areas regularly, and we monitor the environment throughout the day so your dog has a healthy space to explore. We also pay attention to the weather, rotating dogs between indoor and outdoor spaces so they stay comfortable.
Here are some of the safety steps we follow every day:
- Camper screening to help ensure dogs are a good fit for group play
- Certified Camp Counselors supervise all playrooms and yards
- Compatible playgroups based on size, age, and play style
- Secure indoor and outdoor areas with controlled access points
- Regular cleaning of play spaces and rest areas
When you leave your dog with us, you are not just hoping everything goes well. You are choosing a Camp that has systems in place to help keep your pup safe throughout the day.
Why Local Families Choose Our Camp Near Braeburn
Families in Braeburn have plenty to juggle between work, commutes, and home life. Many choose our Camp because we make their days easier and their dogs’ days more fun. Instead of worrying about your pup being bored or anxious, you can trust that they are playing, resting, and being cared for by people who truly enjoy dogs.
Our open-play model gives dogs the chance to be dogs. They can run, romp, and socialize under watchful eyes, rather than spending most of the day in a traditional stay. For energetic pups or dogs who love company, this can make a big difference in their behavior and happiness at home.
Transparency matters, which is why we offer webcams so you can see your dog enjoying Camp. Whether you are taking a quick break at work or just missing your pup, you can log in and watch them having fun with their friends. It is a simple way to feel connected while you are apart.
We also keep pricing straightforward. Our all-inclusive daycare model means playtime, attention, and basic care are part of the experience, so you are not constantly facing surprise add-ons. For busy pet parents, this makes planning and budgeting much easier.
Another reason families choose us is convenience. When you find a place your dog loves for daycare, it helps to have boarding, grooming, and training available in the same location. That way, you can plan overnight stays or give your pup a bath or training session without sending them somewhere new. Your dog stays in a familiar environment with a team they already know.
Over time, many dogs get excited as soon as they realize they are heading to Camp. Pet parents often tell us how much they appreciate coming home to a content, pleasantly tired pup after a day of play.
Getting Your Dog Started At Camp Near Braeburn
We want getting started at Camp to feel simple and welcoming. Our process is designed to answer your questions, help your dog feel at ease, and give you a clear picture of what to expect on that important first day.
The first step is to contact us to talk about your dog and schedule their initial evaluation. We will share what we look for during Camper screening and discuss any special information we should know, such as energy level or past daycare experience. This conversation helps us prepare for your pup’s arrival.
On evaluation day, we ask that you arrive a little early so we can review paperwork and confirm vaccination records. Once check-in is complete, our Camp Counselors begin introducing your dog to the environment and, when appropriate, to a small group of compatible Campers. We move at a pace that fits your dog’s comfort level.
Pricing is kept clear from the start, with all-day play and attention included in our daycare rates. We can review our packages and options with you, whether you plan to come a few times a month or most weekdays. You can then choose the schedule that fits your routine.
To help you prepare for your dog’s first visit, it can be helpful to:
- Confirm vaccination records are up to date before your scheduled day
- Bring your dog on a properly fitted collar and leash
- Let us know about any feeding routines or special notes
- Plan a slightly earlier drop-off to allow time for introductions
It is common for pet parents to feel a little nervous on that first drop-off. We are here to answer questions, talk through how your dog is doing, and help everyone settle into the new routine. Our goal is for both you and your pup to feel comfortable coming to Camp regularly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will you make sure my dog is safe in group play?
We start with a Camper screening to learn about your dog and observe their behavior. Then we place them in compatible playgroups and keep certified Camp Counselors supervising at all times. Our team watches body language, manages introductions, and provides breaks so play stays positive and safe.
What will my dog’s first day at Camp be like?
On the first day, we move at your dog’s pace. After check-in, our team introduces them to the play areas and gradually to other Campers. We watch closely, offer breaks, and keep you informed. The goal is a fun, low-pressure introduction to the Camp routine.
Can I watch my dog while they are at daycare?
Yes, you can check in on your dog through our web cameras. During the day, you can log in to see your pup playing, resting, or exploring. Many pet parents find this reassuring, especially during the first few visits, and it helps you feel connected while you are away.

Dog Day Care FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow West Bellaire is here to help!
-
Yes, Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs attending daycare to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s also recommended that dogs receive the Leptospirosis vaccine annually, as it can be deadly and spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects dogs from four serious and contagious illnesses: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs continue booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion usually given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all dogs attending daycare at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog daycare, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.

Camp Bow Wow requires all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.
- Camp Bow Wow understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.
- For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or daycare services at Camp Bow Wow.
- As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all Campers and is not advised for open play environments.
-
Dogs staying overnight can be dropped off anytime that day during Camp hours. We suggest arriving before 4 p.m., so they can play, eat, and play again before bedtime. While you can check your pup in and out anytime during Camp hours at no additional cost, we do request you pick them up 15 minutes before closing, so we can tuck in our Overnight Campers.
-
This measure is to ensure the safety of all our Campers. Dogs can become possessive of toys, which can cause an altercation. If small pieces are torn off or broken off, a dog could choke or swallow and cause an obstruction.

You can view the free live webcams on the Camp Bow Wow website via your computer, tablet, or mobile device. We also invite you to download our iPhone or Android app to easily access the cameras from anywhere. The cameras are on during business hours when the pups are at play. Many locations offer luxury suites with 24/7 access to the suite’s webcam.
